Question about Garden

Echo Weedeater won't stay running

I have cleaned carb and replaced all gaskets, etc. Question: If it is too much oil in Gas I will try to replace that. For the three hoses in tank where do they hook up? The fat one is obvious. The filter one in the tank I think goes to Carb. The other goes to the filter?

The one with the filter goes to the carb.,one should come from the tank to the primer bulb and one from there to the carb.

Echo PB 251 won't run. replaced plug, gas, fuel filter, air filter. took carb a part, and cleaned with carb cleaner, used the compressed cleaner to clean out venturis/ports.

Wow! with all you have done it should run. Be sure the switch is on but if you are getting spark, it should be on. I would take it to the echo place for service.

Won stay running

Needs a carb adjustment, cleaning, or possible rebuilt. Try adding a little seafoam and running at half choke for about 5 mins or longer this may clean it up nicely. also check the spark plug.

ECHO PE- 200 won't stay running

Check and replace the impulse line if you haven't already. How did you set your carb screws after the rebuild? Start with them lightly seated and then give each a 3/4 turn out to get yourself started.

My cutoff saw won't start, compression is good, has oil/gas mix, gets spark from wire but sparkplug was dirty so i cleaned it and she still won't turn over

If the saw briefly runs when you prime the carb and/or cylinder with gas then most likely fuel is not getting thru the carb. Try rebuilding the carb and replacing the fuel filter first. You can also search on youtube and google for troubleshooting tips.

My echo srm 2100 weedeater will start, but when I squeeze the lever to give it gas it chokes out. The filter is clear. There is a new spark plug. What could be wrong?

There are an array of things that could be wrong, but most likely this is a carburetion problem.
For starters, make sure the fuel lines are soft and there are no cracks or pinholes in them. They tend to break down after time. I don't know the age of this machine, but a gasket and diaghragm kit may bring it back to normal operation. The parts in this little kit are easy to install and not very expensive. Another issue of note is there is a very fine mesh screen inside the fuel pump chamber of the carburetor that traps dirt and foreign particles. It is easy to access and clean, once you have the pump cover off. The internal parts of the carburetor need to be soft and pliable like the fuel lines to operate correctly. They dry out after time and need replacing. All these little carbs have this issue at some point in their usage. If you remove the carb, gaskets and diaghragms, try spraying all the holes with carb cleaner aerosol spray after cleaning the fine mesh screen. If a good cleaning doesn't help, then you probably need the gasket and diaghragm kit for that carburetor.

Troy built weedeater 70ss gas engine will not run

The needle and seat (esp. the needle) meter the amount of gas/oil that is being allowed into the metering chamber of the carb for use by the engine. Your problem does seem fuel related. These carbs are very temperamental and scare most folks. A guide to how they work can be found here:
This will give you an understanding of what exactly you are dealing with. You may only require a diaghram kit or rebuild kit to get the carb back to the functionality it was designed for. That info can be found here once you know your carbs exact model number.
A troubleshooting guide for these carbs is included in the first pdf file, look it over maybe and see what you think. Post back maybe later after going to school (doesn't hurt to learn how they work). We will be here. I know you want to use this machine (its the growing season) but there are so many things that can be wrong that it needs to be narrowed down...sounds like fuel starvation and just may need to clean the inside of the carb with something like the brake parts cleaner spray. It is non-flammable and doesn't damage the sensitive parts inside these carburetors the way ehanol and harsh carb/chokle sprays and strong solvents due...NEVER soak these carbs in a "Gunk style" carb cleaning will seriously damage sensitive internal parts and check valves!

Runs in idole, but boggs down and quit when i give it gas....(double edge echo hedgetrimmer 1500 gas power

Fuel starvation - 'lean fuel' condition
Basic things to check:
1) spark plug
2) spark arrestor in muffler
3) fuel lines and tank filter
4) turn adjustment needles out (counterclockwise) 1/4 to 1/2 turn
Chain Saws:
5) check impulse tube and intake boot for cracks or leaks
*if all of the above are OK and/or do not improve performance then:
Remove Carburetor
6) replace gaskets/diaphragms
a) use a spray carb cleaner to clean jets, holes, and body of carb
b) fuel pump diaphragm goes against the carb body,
then the gasket towards the outside
c) metering gasket goes against the carb body,
and the diaphragm goes towards the outside
