The problem is that after the upgrade, the laptop does not carry out any process (all the leds are turned on and the computer is locked) the laptop is not asking to insert any recovery disks to reconstruct the BIOS

You need to "flash" the BIOS with a good file and then your computer should boot up for you.

Download from your computer manufasturers website. The correct BIOS should be available there.

I have a IBM Lenovo r500 laptop and I am having trouble loading windows 7 on it. I have updated the bios but it has worked since then. Now I am having error messages trying to reinstall it on a clean...

Yes! it could be, is the window 7 a upgrade disc? the reason I ask it will detect the previous version and install, but if the hard drive has been completely formatted it won't install on empty hardware. If that is not the issue go into bios and reset to factory default it might make the difference.

During BIOS update toshiba m305-s4910 froze for several hours. I disconnected the battery and connected it, and I got 2 bips and a black screen. the keyboard dose not respond.

For that first you need to open back cover of laptop reconnect RAM memory . Then you need to upgrade bios. For that download bios update from toshiba web sites then upgrade bios again then it will be working fine. Let me know if you need further assistance. Thanks for using FixYa.

My HP 530laptop won't see any hard drive installed. No hard drive listed in bios . Can the bios be repaired if corrupted and id so can someone tell me the procedure? thanks in advance

If you want to try to repair the bios, in most case clearing the cmos would do it, and reset it to factory default. To do this, you are going to have to tear your laptop apart until you can get to the motherboard, there should be this nickel size battery installed somewhere on your motherboard. You will need to take this battery out for at least 15sec to let the cmos reset. Reinstall the battery, and put your laptop back togheeter, once powering up, it will prompt you to load default which you will have to set your system time agian. If you just want to load default value and not totally clear everything, you can go into your bios menu and on the exit tab, there is a load default value, and you can do this to set default value, but will not fully clear the bios. In your case of your laptop not seeing or reading your hard drive, ask yourself is it one harddrive or any multiple harddrive you had previous installed. If it is only one harddrive or the original harddrive, It could be dead, damaged, and that why the O.S cannot detect it and so with the BIOS menu too. Other then that, it could a bad hard drive expansion connection, since Hp laptop are known to heatup pretty hot.

Bios version for asus eee pc 10005ha touchpad screen freezes

Its not the Bos,just dont corrupt the boot procedure with unnecessary key presses.
Or reinstall factory settings properly--it has very little to do with the bios
