When I plug the AC adapter into my Motorola S9 headset I see two short green flashes followed by one long red from the indicator light. There is no indicator light for being fully charged and when I remove it from the AC adapter I see one short green indicator light and it won't power up. Does this mean the battery is bad? How can I replace the battery?
This might work if you aren't using the ORIGINAL charger. I had this problem when my cat chewed through the original Motorola charger. I figured my Blackberry charger would work fine, but it didn't. I then discovered that my Blackberry charger was 700mAH and the broken charger was only 550mAH. When I found another charger with the proper power it charged. I also found that it worked when plugging it into my computer with a standard mini USB. I hope this helps.
Thanks!! That is exactly what the problem was.
Had the same issue, but just double green light flash, no redlight. Plugged in USB port and began to recharge( I hadn't used it in years, thought it was broken)
I had the same issue (won't charge) with my S9 headphones. I found one of the old Motorola micro-USB chargers with the lower output and they started charging right away.

Had similar problem, turned out I was using Skycaddy charger.
Solution is in the charger power.
I have tested many possible trick as "pressing buttons while pluggings etc." but nothing worked.
Finally I solved testing many different usb charger, at the end I've found an old pc with usb 1.0 that may be had the right output.
So, if you have this trouble, just test all the usb charger or ports in the house, possibly the oldest one will work !
Same exact thing has been happening to me since I have been using my USB charger!!
Got it with my Moto Rokr 7-8 yrs back. Thought it was lost and I didn't used it in years now. Hardly 4 times.
Now when I have found it, tried plugging it in and @ green flashed followed by 8 secs of Red which then goes off and nothing happens after that.
Keep it for another 3 hours and with no luck. Power button doesn't actually powers it on.
Tried pressing the Power button when plugging in, but now green flash followed by continuous Purple blinks. Kept it for another 3 hours and still the same, nothing happens.
trying the second method and it obvious that my power button works.
Have used the original wall charger + the usb cable that came along, laptop and old pc and evrything that would give me different outputs.
Please try helping me out, since now I have started exercising and want to use this cool stuff badly.
