Gavin, are you referring to the TDK 3 speaker boombox? I'm having the same issue with the rotating volume dial. I thought it was just vibration moving it but someone else online said it was twisted wires attached to the knob. Any good finds?
make sure that the speakers are plugged into the GREEN circle on the back of the machine, and make sure the volume controls in windows are turned all the way up, and mute is NOT checked. If that still does not work, hook the speakers up to an ipod, walkman, boombox, or anything with an earphone jack, and see if they play. If they work, then its a pc issue.
maybe the amplifier inside is failing if you turn it all the way up for a second and it comes on then it is the amp but if you wiggle the vol and it comes on the its the vol switch
how did the speakers sound ?
My XM Boombox is also white and it is a Belkin. The folks at Delphi told me the receiver in the boombox is screwed up which over time also screws up the Delphi receiver. Belkin is sending me a new boombox and Delphi is sending me a new Roady XT.
