Set, Model WD52327, won't come on even with the manual button. I turned it on via the Direct remote this morning only to find the red light back on within a few seconds. Turn it back on and it was fine. ...

Error 44 = DVI cable between FMT & Engine disconnected - this means that either the cable that connects the FMT board (the one that is in the middle of the mainboard and perpendicular on it) and the optical engine (the part with the DMD chip and the bulb) is disconnected or damaged (replace or refit it) or the output circuit on the FMT board has failed and you will have to replace it.
Here is the service manual
and here is a new FMT board

I have a 65 inch Mitsubishi rear projection HD TV. The screen went blank today. I have cable hooked up to the componant input and I get no sound or audio. If I hit input a few times I get static sound...

Does the input menu appear on the screen when you press input? If so its probably the IC Regulator 9v supplying the video board. If the green light on the front is blinking then powering off it is one of the 7 capacitors and you should just replace them all, 30-35 bucks. If the power stays on and its just your video isnt coming on(audio as well) it is the IC Regulator. Mine called for the part - BA09FP IC REGULATOR 9V It is about half the size of a pinky nail and located directly behind the video input board in the back of the tv. It has two prongs on the left side and one wide tab on the right. It solders directly to the top of the board and not through it. It says BA09 on the chip. This fixed the problem for me.

Why can't my Mitsubishi Medallion go to 1080 with my Direct TV HD service?

if it is a ws-65613 you would have to be connected to the DTV component input on the back of the set as this is the only HD input for this model.

If the set will not go to that input (skips it by) let me know as there is a way to restore missing inputs--if you hook HD in any other way it will not work on this model; let me know if you need help;

I am here to help and know these sets well.

let me know what tests and results you have , and if you dont have a schematic yet , this one should be about the same as yours , this is part 1 with 7 zip files
this is part 2 with 2 zip files,%20WS-65869,%20WS-55909,%20WS-65909,%20WS-73909.html

The whole bottom tray will slide out. Remove the single black headed screw from the middle edge of the tray. There is a plastic lock on each side of the tray. Pull the plastic lock tab up and slide tray out. Remove all wiring from those little plastic twisty thingy's. Once the tray starts to slide, you will see which plugs have to be unplugged. Just pull the tray out about half way. OK. Now the box. Unplug the two plugs from the top. There are two small screws on one end of the box (closes to you) and a screw on each side. Remove all four of them. The metal box will pull up and off the circuit board. Be very very careful. Take your time. Try to hold down the board while wiggling the box and lifting up. There are 80 or so small pins under this box. You do not want to mess them up. Once you have the box out, remove the two screws on the top and the board with he caps will slide out. When you install the box back on the board, make sure you have the pins lined up before pushing it down on the circuit board. You only screw up once. Soory i'm not good a step by step directions. hope this all helps. I did my own about three month ago. Had new caps soldiered on for 35.00 at a electrical shop. Good luck. Jim.

The constant blinking green light means that the TV is not booting up. This is a common problem on this set.You need to remove the shield from the DM board (standing upright on the left where the DTV RF connector is)and inside you will see the four leaky capacitors (1000 MFD 16 VOLT)replace them,plug the TV in and wait 70 seconds for the blinking light to stop,then turn on the TV.The hard part will be removing the board from the TV(lots of screws and connectors,takes time)

Can't turn on the TV. Green light keeps blinking.

You need to change the four capacitors C9B01,C9B02,C9B10,C9B11 all 1000 MFD 16 VOLT (on the DM board which is inside the metal shield standing upright on the left looking from the back of the set)The tops of the capacitors will look puffed out making them easy to find. This is your HD tuner digital board which is trying to reboot but can't - when the green light stops blinking after a minute,than you can power on your TV.
