Re: msater reset

Unfortunately, we still have not received our batch of service manuals from Numark for all of their new gear. So, I cannot instruct you on the master reset. However, if you contact Numark directly, they will be able to walk you through any issues you might be having with the unit, to safely eject the CD - 401.658.3131 - ask for the Tech/Service Dept

When playing my turntable then music only plays out of one speaker

It may be a bit late to start talking, but you need to narrow down the problem. It could be all manor of things, but start by breaking the problem down.

Try the turntable in another known working amplifier. Does it work ok? If so the problem is not the turntable, but another part of your setup.

Try the following :

First of all, try a clean source such as a cd player. Does that come out of both channels ok? If so, your amplification is ok.

Is the the Turntable going into a mixer? Try another phono channel of the mixer.

Tried all channeles and still got a problem? Try another mixer as the master output of the mixer could be faulty.

Still a problem? Try your mixer in to another input of the same and of another amplifier? Is there still a problem? Well you have tested your main equipment, so now you can conectrate on the deck.

Get another headshell with another known working cart and install them into this deck. Still a problem?

Beyond this you need a little more expertise and I'm unaware of your technical abillities. As a matter of safety for yourself and your equipment, you should take it to a professional to have it repaired.

Can't get the darn to work

Remove the drive belt and see if the turntable spins, if it does the drive motor is faulty, if it doesn't then (if this is a new turntable) it's possibly got a locking device to hold the turn table steady during shipping.

It doesn't work. I have followed the instructions though i couldn't find the EG switch but the table doesn't turn when its plugged in turned on and started.

check whether you have inserted the belt or not. in new turn tables you hvave to set the belt in proper position before starting use. u have to make the belt engaged with the motor pulley.

I have added here a video which demonstrate the installing of belt in a turn table.

In your turntable you can see the belt under the plater when u remove the plater.
remember one thing after installation of belt before plugging it mains , do the following

1. lock the arm in the arm rest
2. rotate the plater 10 times with you finger (for resetting the start position

Then connect the power release the arm lock insert a record press start

If you need any further assistance from me , feel free to contact me through fixya

The sound of the ''shure m44-7'' only sends a signal to the left side of my headphones and master. the cables are wired in the good colour and seem to be steady, what else could it be?

If you are only getting sound from one channel try reversing the left and right channel cables from the turntable to the Preamp/Amplifier. If the sound switches channels in your headphones then the cartridge or the cables from the cartridge to the preamp in the turntable have a problem. If the same channel has sound, did not change channels, then you have a problem with the preamp or headphones. If the headphones work with another input, radio, cd, etc, then the headphones are good and the problem is in the preamp unit.

Cd wont load

More than likely your loading motor, or the traverse assembly are damaged, and need to be replaced.

In either case, it is highly suggested that you contact a qualified service technician with this type of repair.

My turntable does not work. Is there a lock ?

Try this - GENTLY move the phono arm to the RIGHT until you hear a click (of course, do this after you turn on the power via the volume dial and set the other dial to"phono"). Doing this turns on the turntable when you haven't used it in awhile. This worked for us, hope it works for you.

If it doesn't work, you can check the belt by removing the tiny clip at the center post and gently lift the turntable platform/tray to peek at the motor and belt underneath. The pulley is on the right at the 2 o'clock position, the belt should be in contact with it.

CD Mode does not react in the same manner as as Vinyl mode when you try to back spin. At the very least, you will only be able to go back a few bars. It's mainly used to set the Cue properly.

If you want it to back spin, you'll have to use the Vinyl mode.

Standby button fails to go green

if there is a remote control does it work from it?
have you tried removing power from the wall for a few minutes then retry, sometimes the computer inside gets scrambled brains and a hard power reset might wake it up.

Pitch and Strobes

There is nothing wrong with your turntables. The Strobe dots are only a guide to give you an idea of the speed your platter is rotating. Nothing more, nothing less. The pitch control decal is not 100% accurate, it is simply a guide to tell you where the 6% position lies, 3.3%, etc.

As long as the quartz lock function works, and the large middle strobes are nice and solid, and do not move, your fine.
