My haier a/c window unit is spitting water through the vent

The plastic piece which you can see behind the vent is making a slight noise and water is saturating the sponge around the a/c. it just started literally seconds ago and was working fine until then. it's been raining for three days and it froze up three or four times but, being with a limited budget just thought i'd ask. ac is spitting water on the floor and bed and is a new ac, only does it on hot days around 90 or more and after it rains but the ac is covered by the roof overhang on the top floor so rain shouldnt be the problem

Plain and simple: if your A/C is spitting water into the house, the back end is too high. Try lowering the outside back of the unit so that the inside is slightly higher. This should alleviate the problem.

If your ac is freezing up it sounds like a leak in the system. ac units are sealed systems so your refrigerant should be a constant pressure,if your floor is weat and you hear a unusual noise your evaporator coil may be a block of ice.

Haier 5500 window unit, spits water into the room sometimes. Also, water "sloshes" around inside the fan area & is quite noisy sometimes. ? Thankyou for your assistance...

You will need to reposition the unit to where it will be tilted downwards slightly outside.
The water will then flow out the back and not spit into the room.

We got our unit about a week ago brand new ... It has been building up ice inside and spitting out water!

Have you checked to see if drains are at back, and unit requires a slight tilt down and out the window?
Most do.

Window air conditioner is spitting water

Hello, usually a window AC will spit water if the unit is not tilted back or if the drain is backed up, if the unit is level try tilting it back it the window somewhat. Also, if the unit does have a drain make sure it is not blocked.

My goldstar window air conditioner keeps spitting water out of the vents and making a loud noise, what is it? Please.

Hello
Could be the drain hole is clogged up outside.
Its usually located on the bottom r h side.Needs to be unclogged.Use a thin piece of wire or compressed air or even a good blast of water to fix it.

My ac is spitting watter by the vent, and making noise i think it happends when the fan inside hits the water that acumulates inside is there something i can do to fix this and make the water go out

The AC fan is blowing the water that has condensed on the cooling pipes. It is possible that there is clogging of dirt in the fins of the cooling pipe'
this results in water logging. The filters must be clogged and dirt has accumalated.Use a good air spray or a water jet to clean. The condensed water must flow to the rear of the unit to drain out .{A/C must be fitted slightly tilted.}.Hope this helps.

Condensation buildup

Make sure the unit tilts towards the outside. If it's installed level or tilted toward front it will not drain properly.

My haier a/c window unit is spitting water through the vent

check the filter located behind the front panel it usually snaps out also make sure the drain holes on the out side bottom of unit are not stopped up and that the unit is leaned back slightly for drainage freezing is a sign of low air flow or low on freon the coil actually gets colder when freon starts to leak out hope this helps with your problem

Window unit just started spitting a little water and making a noise like when something is too tight a fit, a rubbing noise. just started minutes ago. it's raining but, what could of happened?

Make sure the window unit is evenly placed inside the window frame.Just a slight twisting of the housing will cause the fan blade to scrape the housing. Make sure that the fan blade has no come loose from the fan motor shaft if that does not solve the problem. Also make sure the window unit tilts slightly downward so that any water from the condensate produced inside the home on the condenser coil can drain down the slope to the outsidelike the way explained. I have also seen units that were positioned correctly but the drain trough is blocked and will not allow the water to drain outside the house. Let Me Know, Thanks, Sea Breeze

Haier AC HWR10xc6

Haier Air Conditioners do not have a drain hole or hose like most A/Cs. This problem can easily be solved by carefully drililng about an 1/8 or 1/4 inch hole in the bottom outside edge directly on the metal frame, around the cooling fins.... This will elt the water drain out...if you when outside and looked in while it was spitting you would see the water pooling up in there. Haier expects us to mount these units at an ungodly angle to drain the water, but drilling a small hole will help (really anywhere in that bottom plate would work since the whole bottom is a "drain pan"
