Question about Cell Phones
US Cellular MotoRazr2 V9m.. bought on ebay. bought a BX40 battery on eBay too. I plug the batt in, hook up the charger, and it tells me the battery is charging. I can turn the phone on and everything.. but if I unplug the charger the phone goes kaput. instant shutoff. If I plug it into the charger without a battery I only get a message saying that there is no battery and the phone can't do anything. I went to US Cellular and "borrowed" one of their batteries.. and the battery worked just fine. Phone powered on and everything. Unfortunately I didn't bring the charger and didn't think to ask them. SO. My question is this: Is the battery bunk, or is it the phone that is unable to charge the battery?
Cell phone batteries are only good for about 300 charges then they go kaput. Take your charger to the store and try it there likely just a bad battery. Or a faulty charger, they will be able to tell you at US Cellular they have test equipment that they can check the battery and the charger and the phone charging circuit, I've never been charged for that service.
