I checked the steps on your Epson R340 Paper Feed problem. Both of our R340s are about a year and a half old and they are both having the same problem. There is nothing wrong with the paper . . . it...

hello, eventually the feed roller will need to be cleaned, it collects paper dust and dust and inks, so becomes smooth, and unable to grab paper properly, cleaning with alcohol, yes it does clean but dries rubber, WD-40, is waht i use, but i allow it to be absorbed into roller, then wipe off the excess, then try feeding paper.

Doesn't want to print

Try unplugging from the wall for 5 minutes / plug in and retry, cancels / resets printer memory.

Paper jams when faxing or scanning

  1. Turn the printer off and open the access cover.
  2. Look for any obstructions in the paper path and remove them if necessary. (It is possible to move the carrier assembly with the power off.)
  3. Turn the printer on, load some paper, and press the Form Feed button.
  4. Watch the paper as it feeds through and try to determine where the jam is occurring.
  5. Check to see if all the rollers are turning.

If all the rollers are turning, there may be something in the feed path that you can't see. Go to step 6.
If not, there is probably a feed motor or a gear problem and the printer may require service.
  6. If the paper is jamming under the carrier assembly, you may be able to fix it using the manual feed slot.
  7. Turn the printer off.
  8. Take a #10 envelope and feed it through the left side of the manual feed slot until it comes right through the printer to the back of the exit rollers.
  9. Move it up and down first, and then slowly move it over to the right side. If something is stuck under the black guide plate, this may work it loose.

I just purchased this canon pixma ip1300 lats few months and now, i have trouble printing paper! it always stated "printer is jammed" when ive checked a thousand times that it is not.

Normal 0 I suggest you get a sheet of Card Stock (Heavy paper) and place it in the feed way. Then press the print button applying a slight amount of pressure on the Card Stock so it will feed through the printer. The reason for this, is in some cases I have been able to clear the paper track of debris that was deposited there over time.
Worth a try, as I have fixed a number of printers this way, saving costly repairs.
Hope this helps. Bud

When printing Glossy paper 260gsm, on my HP 4280, the paper appears to be slipping in the feed roller and the image prints too far down the page. Any ideas ??

Take the back cover off, and you will see the feed rollers in there. Use a soft cloth and some all purpose cleaner and gently clean the rollers, not too much liquid on them, lat dry and clean again for couple or three times. You feed rollers have become soiled and are slipping on your paper. I have three hp printers and this must be done every couple months or so. I think I found these instructions on if I remember right.

I cant print,scan & copy

try reinstalling the drivers and/or replacing the cables. Also look for any debris or tiny piece of paper that may be stuck between the rollers..

Paper won't feed

You could try cleaning the rubber feed roller with a slightly damp rag, or even having feed assy replaced but you are right probally better off replacing it.

Paper feed

The feed rollers are probably dirty from paper lint. The feed roller on the 922 is on the right side as you face the front of the printer. I use a damp sponge to clean it. Good luck.
