Check the following to address this issue.

1. No power to the dryer
Make sure there's power getting to the dryer. Check for a tripped circuit breaker or a blown fuse. Check the wall socket for power with a voltmeter or by plugging something else in.

2. Door switch / Door switch actuator lever
The dryer would not start with a broken door switch. Replace the door switch if found defective.

Most dryers have a door switch actuator lever - when you close a dryer door, it presses against the lever, which actuates the door switch. If the lever is broken, the switch would not activate and the dryer would not start. Replace the lever, if broken.

Note: Door switch actuator lever usually comes with the door switch assembly and it is recommended to get the whole assembly since there is almost no price difference between the door switch assembly and just the lever. Check your model for more details.

3. Thermal fuse
Most dryers have a thermal fuse, which burns out when the dryer overheats, in which case the dryer will either not run at all or stop heating. The fuse is usually located on the vent duct, inside the dryer. A blown fuse will show no continuity when measured with a meter. Before replacing the fuse, make sure the blower wheel is not broken or clogged, and there is nothing blocking the venting.

Note: It is recommended by most dryer manufacturers to replace a hi-limit thermostat when replacing a thermal fuse.

4. Timer
Replace if defective (note: uncommon problem).

I have a Kenmore Series 70 dryer wont start, just hums

Check for correct voltage at the terminal block on the back of the dryer, where the power cord attaches to the dryer. You should be getting 220/240 volts, check by way of a voltage tester.
If the voltage is correct, then could be the motor capacitor or the motor itself, or start button?
Good Luck !

I replaced the igniter and thermal fuse and dryer

The thermal fuse should only be replaced if the dryer will not start
If it starts the thermal fuse is good.
If you touched the ignitor with your fingers it may have blown out.
Open the dryer and check for voltage to the ignitor through the ignitor wires while the dryer is on.
If you have no voltage check the hi-limit thermostat for continuity as well as the operating thermostat.
Check the flame sensor for continuity while it is cold.
If you have power to the ignitor place a clamp on amp meter on one ignitor wire and turn the dryer on.
If you read 3 amps or less the ignitor is bad.
If it reads the amps or more the gas valve coils are bad.

Did you check the door switch. If it is open (not making contact) the machine will not run. Could be the motor start/run switch which could be stuck with lint (clean it) or worn out ( replace the motor).

Check connections at dryer terminal. sometimes they will melt and have now power and wont cause a breaker trip. plug needs 120v at L1 and 120 at L2 and equals 240 with L1 and L2 combined. can check at outlet with a meter.

Kenmore 90 series model 110 60902990 wont heat blows cold air

Hi,
There are a few things you can check. You will need a voltage/ ohms meter. First thing you should check is that you are getting 240 Volts too the dryer. If the dryer is getting voltage, then you will need to check the heating element first. Remove the lower front panel usually held on by 2 1/4" screws. The element is located on the right side of the dryer (Looking at the front). Unplug the dryer, check continuity on the 2 terminals on the element, if there is continuity, the element is ok. Next you will need to start checking the thermostats. There is one thermostat and one safety stat on the side of the element housing. Both of those should have continuity also. If all three os those parts are checking out ok, you wil need to check the safety attached to the blower duct work directly below the drum. The easiest way to get to that safety is to remove the lint screen duct. Two 1/4" screws hold that on.

These are the most probably causes of your dryer not heating. Please contact me if you need more info.
If this helps you and you need to order the defective part, let me know and I can ship you the part also.

Hope this helps.

The Dryer wont start.

Often the main wiring connection from the house at the dryer burns, and the connection breaks. Verify the connection at the back of dryer, and if visually you can't she the brake then check for voltage (240). If there is not enough voltage at the terminal block-replace the terminal block and the cable.
