SOURCE: harley davidson 1200 custom doesnt start and security light on the speedo blinks. i had earlier clicked on the remote. it is sportster 1200 custom-2005.

hold key fob until signals flash, check speedo for solid key light, then try...if it still does the same thing, battery could be too low(will cause this also)

I can scan you a copy of the wiring diagram for a 1999 model. Most wiring changes are very minor on the bikes from year to year. Contact me at [email protected] Make sure you remind me of what you need.

Good Luck

2001 harley 1200 sportster wont start netural light does not light and headlight wont light.what is problem?

have you checked the battery to see if it is flat? make sure it is fully charged before testing the electrical system with a multi meter as you wont get the right readings. check the fuses under the seat to see if there are any that may have blown.

Why does my headlight fuse keep blowing out when the key is turned on with a new regulator?

you have a direct short in the headlight circuit it's self, most likely regulator is not involved

Where is the fuse box located on a 2001 harley sporter

Best as I can remember, it's behind the triangluar piece on the frame on the left side of the bike. When you take the frame cover off, you'll see the main breaker. I think the fuses are on the backside of this plate.

Good Luck
