It sounds like the circuit board is arching over somewhere. It could be as simply as cleaning and digging out the carbon mark to stop the arching. This is most likely the screen or focus voltage causing this, if there are no parts that have broken down. This will damage the printed circuit board and make things worse the more you let this cook. This could be dangerous for you to mess with because of the high voltage present, so my best advise would be to get this into the repair shop as soon as possible before this board burns up. It should not cost all that much if the CRT board can be repaired. Good Luck

The ProScan will accept input on input 90/91/92 using the connectors on the backside. You can use S-video[the little round black connector] or the composite video [yellow connector] for the video in and use the red / white pair for audio in.
90 selects S-video and audio 1 in
91 selects composite and audio 1 in
92 selects composite in 2 and audio 2 in
Connect these cords to the S-video or composite yellow output, and the Red-right White- left audio outputs on the DVD.
If you don't want to do this, get a RF modulator ~$15, and connect the yellow/red/white from the DVD output to the inputs on the modulator, and then connect the RF [cable] output of the modulator to the antenna input on the ProScan, and tune channel 3 or 4.

Proscan ps32500 sound problem. When we turn up or down the volume we hear a dit dit dit dit sound (if that makes any sense). No sound when you change channels. The first thing we did was make sure the speakers were on internal not external. Thanks again
My husband is going to try it later, long day for him at work. will let you know Thanks
