Question about IOGear MiniView III GCS1712 2-port KVM Switch
I just installed my Iogear MiniView III. I connected my PC and my Toshoiba laptop so I could use just one keyboard and mouse. Using #1 allows me to use my PC without a problem, but when I switch to #2 where the laptop is connected nothing happens. The screen is blank or the laptop will never come up with the KVM connected. Ideas?
If possible directly connect the KVM cables to the laptop computer. Try to avoid connecting the KVM cables to a docking station. Also if your KVM has manual port selection buttons on the front of the KVM try holding that button for about five seconds when switching ports.
