Question about Ideazon MERC Gaming Keyboard (DHMERC)
I have a ideazon merc stealth keyboard. I use it for gaming and have not had any issues with it until recently. The problem started about 2 weeks ago when I launched the game Americas army. When I launched the game I didnt notice any thing unusual. But when I started to play the game my keyboard's backlighting began to flash and flicker. When the keyboard began to flash and flicker I lost all controll of my character. It did this intermittedly and without a logical pattern. The amount of time the keys went out was anywhere from 1 second to 3 seconds ata time and the interval is any where from 3 times every second to 10 times in a few seconds and continuosly repeating but in no logical pattern. I closed americas army and played sevweral other games with no problems. I then prceeded to launch call of duty 5 world at war. It did the same thing in the multiplayer but not in the single player or co-op modes. It has been doing this for 2 weeks now and it only does it when I play americas army online or call of duty 5 world at war in multiplayer mode. No other games seem to reproduce this issue. I have uninstalled and cleaned my programs and drivers folder and reinstalled the latest drivrs and software and have updated everything. I have disabled the MM drivers for it and that seemed to help for about 2 games. I have unistalled my .net frameworks and reinstalled them. and I tried with the .net framework uninstalled. I have reformatted my hard drive and have a clean install. I have even gone so far as to uninstall the sp3 service pack. I dont know what to do next. Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: call of duty 4 multiplayer
A common fix seems to be to have either a USB headset with a mic plugged in, or something plugged into the analog mic jack. It seems they want to force you to use a mic.

SOURCE: z engine not working
Q: I get the Error “Z Engine has stopped working"
A: This error is caused by a conflict between Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 and the previous version of the Z Engine.
You can resolve this issue by updating to the latest Z Engine. Here is how:
Make sure you have administrative rights to your computer. Please make sure your device is connected during these steps. Please try the following to see if it helps (WARNING: this will delete your Custom Mods):
- Uninstall the Z Engine software by going to Start->Settings->Control Panel->Add remove Programs
- Reboot computer
- Delete the following folders (WARNING: this will delete your Custom Mods):
1) C:\Program Files\Ideazon\Z Engine\
a) If you have Windows 2000 or XP:
Click Start->Run and type “%appdata%" then click "Ok"
Find the Ideazon folder and find the Z Engine folder. Delete the Z Engine folder
b) If you are using Windows Vista:
Start Menu -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Run)
and type “%appdata%" then click "Ok"
Find the Ideazon folder and find the Z Engine folder. Delete the Z Engine folder
- Re-install the latest Z Engine drivers: www.steelseries.com/downloads
You should have a green Z Engine icon on your system tray which means your device should work properly.

SOURCE: Keyboard Blinks off and on
Can you please check the following: 1. Connect the Merc Stealth directly to the USB ports on the computer (do not use any intermediary devices such as USB router, KVM switch, etc..) 2. Unplug the devices connected to the USB ports on the back of the Stealth (if any) and connect to them to the PC instead. 3. Make sure USB and USB Legacy support is set to ON/Enabled in the system BIOS 4. Try to determine if there is any hardware or software conflicting with the Merc Stealth - what other irregular hardware or software do you use? 5. Check your RAM. I tried number 3 and solved it.
