Question about Intermatic & Lighted Dial Timer

Can't figure out how to set Intermatic timer 111c up to nightlight

I have a Intermatic 111c timer which I have connected to a nightlight. I am not sure how to set it. Do I turn the nightlight on and then put the red/green pins in on the timer? Should the override switch be turned to on or off? The instruction sheet is not helpful at all.

Hello. I can help you with this times.

Step one - insert the pins at the times you want the night light to come on and go off. The green pins will turn on the night light and the red pins will turn it off. If you just want one on time and one off time just use one pin of each color.

After you have the pins inserted, set the correct time on the timer and plug it into an outlet that is always on [not one that is controlled by a wall switch].

The override switch will turn the device off if it is on, but just one time. As the next time it turns on it will once again be controlled by the times.

If ou want the night light to come on and off in the evening and again in the morninng, use two green pins and two red pins. Push in a green pin at each time where you want the night light to come on and push in a red pin at each time you want it to go off.

Get back if you need additional clarification.

Make sure you push all the pins, from the time u want the timer to go on to the time u want it to go off. (not just 2 pins) then turn the timer to the current time.

Example : if your curent time is 1pm and you want the timer to go on at 2pm and to go off at 6pm

1. push all the pins from 2pm all the way to 6pm

2. turn the dial and set the arrow at the 1pm time

3. plug the timer into a wall outlet

Intermatic/GE 15071 digital wall timer - Connection Problem

1) GE 15071 (Tork SS20) is single-pole timer, and cannot be wired as 3-way timer
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-wire-timers.html
http://waterheatertimer.org/GE-timers-and-manuals.html#15071

2) Check wire nuts are tight
Remove light bulb and spray WD40 into socket. Reinstall light bulb

3) Reset timer using paper clip or tooth pick, then reprogram to see if functionality is restored

4) Move timer to different location and see if it controls different light

5) Buy another 15071 from home depot.
Remove bad timer, take photo of wires, and install new timer same wire-for-wire.
Return bad timer to home depot in new package.
This is GE's extended warranty plan, but do not mention warranty at return desk.

5) Intermatic and GE are fierce rivals in the timer business.

Intermatic makes their own products. GE timers are generally made by Tork. Both companies sell timers worldwide.

How to install intermatic PB913N66

Open following link to identify timer:
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/Intermatic-PB800-PB900-timers.pdf

The timer has 4 terminal connections.
2 terminal connections are for the clock motor, and 2 terminals are switched just like ordinary light switch.
See how to connect terminal ends to electrical wire by crimping:
http://waterheatertimer.org/Terminals.html

Which 2 terminals are for clock, and which 2 are for switch?
Test across both sets of terminals using continuity tester or multimeter set to read ohms.
Then rotate override knob to next position, and repeat test on both sets of terminals.
The set of terminals that changed when override was rotated are the switch terminals.
The other set of terminals are the clock terminals.

Connect 120Volt Hot and neutral to the clock terminals. Turn on power and make sure clock dial rotates.
Next: the cable going to Load has 2 wires: Black and white.
Cut the black wire. Crimp terminal connections on each end. Connect each end of black wire to the switch terminals.

To set timer for on-off operation, open following link:

I need a set of trippers for a Paragon timer Model number 4001-00. Where can I get them. Thank you. My name is Jim Vivone

Google search for X2772 tripper and some places may still have them.

Paragon is no longer making timers and parts except defrost timers.
Paragon 4001-00 120Volt timer uses X2772 tripper:
http://waterheatertimer.org/Paragon-timers-and-manuals.html#4000

Paragon 4001-00 crossover to Intermatic is T101 120Volt timer.
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-wire-T104-Intermatic-timer.html#T101

Crossover wiring:
Paragon 4001-00 has terminals 1 2 3
T101 has terminals A 1 2

Paragon terminal 1 connects to Intermatic terminal 1
Paragon terminal 2 connects to Intermatic terminal 2
Paragon terminal 3 connects to Intermatic terminal A

I just purchased a home that has an Intermatic T103 installed in the garage, how can I figure out want it's connected too?

T-103 is 120Volt timer that can be used to control 120Volt and/or 240Volt loads, for example pools and spas and outdoor lights.
Look at the yellow dial and see if it has trippers attached to dial.
If no trippers are on the dial, then the timer function is off.
Next look at dial and see if it rotates as time passes.
If dial does not rotate, then either the clock motor is bad or electricity to timer is off or timer is not connected to power.
Test across terminals A and 1 for 120Volts will tell if timer is getting power.
Last, move manual override back and forth and see if anything turns on and off.

I have an intermatic 7 day all weather timer model HB71R.I have lost the owners manuel.Anywhere I can print one off as it has to be re-programed.

Intermatic does not show that manual.

Intermatic manuals:
http://www.intermatic.com/customer%20service/instruction%20manuals.aspx

They show HB77R raintight.
This model may be close enough to figure out button sequence.
I work with timers and most programming follows similar pattern.
Older timers usually follow same pattern as new timers, except with fewer options.

On the sunrise/sunset setting the sun is always dark as if for night. How do i get to the light cycle ?

You posted under ST01C Intermatic timer.
The Intermatic has a battery
If you have another timer, such as the Utilitec, please answer and I will help you with that problem.

Here is the ST01C manual:
http://waterheatertimer.org/Intermatic-st01c.pdf

If I understand correctly, you are programming the timer for the first time.
And you want to set timer for sunrise/sunset.

I have a ST01C in my hand right now
Section 6 says you can select astronomic function which is dawn-to-dusk
I notice that when you want to get to the Dusk cycle, you press ON-off button until Dawn shows ... and then press + key and Dusk shows on display

Answer back. These timer manuals are hard to figure out sometimes.

I set my T104R3 on and off clips to desired times and turned the timer on. At set time the timer went off, but the clock stops and does not continue and turn on at the desired time.

The T104 timer is miswired when it does things like that. The 240 volt clock motor is internally connected at the factory to terminals 1 and 3. That means that one of the incoming (line) 240 volt wires (pick one) _must_ be connected to terminal #1 and the other _must_ be connected to terminal #3.

The outgoing (load) 240 volt wires are connected to terminals 2 and 4.

The Intermatic wiring diagrams leave a lot to be desired. I wrote the following tip to help clarify intermatic T103 and T104 timer wiring, I hope it helps:
