Recently, I accidentally dropped my phone. The back fell off, and the battery popped out. After putting them back in I found, of course, a couple of new problems with my phone. The most noticeable one is that it's random if it will turn on or not. If it does not turn on, the buttons will light up, and the screen will either be blank or an all white screen. If it does turn on, it usually only stays on for about 2 minutes. I've tried using a different RAZR V3 battery, and that didn't work. I've tried charging it, and turning it on while charging it, both which also didn't help.
The same thing is happening to me and I didnt drop my phone at all... and this is the replacement phone from my insurance that I just got 2 weeks ago... My old razor would blank screen and I didn't do anything to that one either... I think they're just crappy phones now.

Oops. the next time something like this happens to any electronic device, immediately remove the battery and sim card if you can, and let the device dry in a warm dry place for several hours before you replace the battery and sim. Then retry. You will probably have to have it professionally repaired.
The battery could be worn down or damaged. Take the back cover and remove the battery and clean the pins on the battery and the phone with a brush and pop it back in and see if the problem is fixed. Also check the power button and check that there is no residue build up that can make it get "stuck" down thus making it shut down. Good Luck
Its not the battery. My VX9900 shuts off randomly (powercycles) when Im using the IM app., and has recently started doing it with direct texting. Searching around the web I discovered its a fairly common issue with the VX9900. It turns out theres a firmware upgrade available that fixes the issue and adds a few more features to the phones software. Best to just take it back to Verizon and ask for the firmware upgrade to T99VZV04. From what I understand they may need to keep the phone for a day, but ive heard of people having it done on the spot, taking about 30 min. I also understand its a no charge update. Just make sure to back up your contacts and remove the SD card! I havnt had a chance to take mine in yet, but will be asap..its getting worse and really annoying!
please describe in detail "How you dried it" I f you ever drop a cell phone in water 1st thing you do is pop the back off and get the battery out. then shake the water out as best as you can. leave the back off and battery out for 48 hours. Dont use an oven or Sunshine or a heater or even a hairdryer. After the 48 hours insert the battery and try it out. Most people make the mistake of trying it on withing an hour or two. that just shorts out parts of the phone and permanently crippling it. Following the above procedure for proper drying is your best chance for minimal damage done to any cell phone. Splash-- uh oh! Pop that battery out ASAP! I just got mine a few weeks ago and it does the same exact thing (I didn't drop it, there is no water damage, I didn't understand the cause of it). I took it back to the Verizon store and I was told that the random shutting off like that is caused by having the phone outside being exposed to heat. He reset my phone back to factory settings and that did the trick for awhile (its hard for me to go to the pool and not have my phone exposed to the heat). There is no charge for them to reset the phone. Mine has started the random shutting off again back up
caring for the touch screen includes touching the screen with clean and DRY hands., if your phone fell in the water, it will likely damage the touch screen.. contact your nearest LG repair center.. i hope your phone will soon be fine..
This same problem hapnd 2 my fne i bet the smaller screen at the front dosent work either well the problem is the wire connecting from the screen to the main part isloose try tightening it,if this does not work squeeze the screen/middle part conecting the two
