Verizon Communications BlackBerry Pearl 8130 Cell Phone - Silver Logo
Posted on Jun 02, 2009

I bought a used blackberry world edition 8830. Its locked and I dont want to try anymore because it says last attemp. I cant afford unlocking it for charge at the moment but I was wondering if theres a way to find a code for free to unlock. Right now its under Verizon. I dont want to call the company because now that I think of it I dont know where the person who sold it to me got it from. I have a Verizon Blackberry 8830 that I bought on eBay and I want to use, but I am on ATT Wirless. How does this work? I am okay with buying an unlock code, but my att sim does not even fit in the Verzion BlackBerry. Has anyone else had this problem? If so please help. :) i have a blackberry 8830 made for verizon that a friend gave me since my phone fell in the pool. I'm with tmobile and want to unlock this phone. can anyone help me?

If you log in ten times with the wrong password the Blackberry will reset to the factory settings. This will earse all the data and unlock the phone.

This is not the solution you are looking for but it is the truth. The password trick only applies when you have an unknown password. If your phone is locked, you need a specific unlock code (unique to only your phone) & you need to follow a specific procedure to unlock your phone. The procedure depends on the phone make & model. Unlocking a blackberry world edition 8830 will not allow you to use it in the US, Canada or Mexico because the frequency used by the 8830 (900 & 1800MHz) is not the frequency used by T-Mobile, AT&T, Rodger or other North American GSM carriers (these carriers use 850 & 1900MHz). You need to get a Blackberry 8800 GSM phone for US use. You can always sell that 8830 phone on ebay.

Call your service company (i.e. sprint tmobile, altell.) they can provide you with a code or they might be able to get you a whole new phone... tmobile has done both for me….

you can unlock your phone through codes. you can get the codes either from your service provider if your phone is within 6 months. or you should buy the codes to unlock your phone. i think there are no free services to unlock any blackberry mobile. you can get the codes either from your service provider or from the third party provider. i bought one code from here SuperUnlockCodes to unlock my phone.

Your sim does not fit it or can not fix it , why not if you seem to be having unlocking problems take the phone into a mobile store and have them unlock it for you.

It is easy. Just contact the provider and they will give you a MEPD code. I hope that helps.
