i dont want to sound harsh but i did post this inside a microsoft thread. i probably should of written that i am using a

    Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop 3000

so i dont think is going to help me much.

and btw i have been using the keyboard and mouse for  over a year and it is the first time i have had problems with it.

and i have done most of stuff you just said like reinstalling the drivers and stuff in the control panel and also since i have been using vista with it for over a year i dont think it is vista.

i just want to know if their is a quick solution or if i should just send it back to microsoft.

Okay this wont hurt your computer or cause conflick go to click on right side support scroll on drop down menu and look for the unit that resembles you unit and download file and reboot. not all wireless keyboard and mouse are stable an if they are it can be for a short time. then they have to be replaced . did the wire less set come with a disk if so you need to run it.. another thing you should know is that windows vista is very unstable, do the research dont mean to sound harsh. another thing . go into the control panel click add hardware let it search and install if its there.. another thing you can to do, go into control panel , click on sysytem click on hardware , click device manger drop down menu will appear with plus signs next to each item. expand by clicking on small plus signs highlight riight click update driver, if nothing, disable funtion which would be your wireless set and reboot, restart. this should work,

When the mouse stutters, check the adapter plugged into the computer. If the little light on the adapter (labeled #2 in the picture) is blinking then you may have accidentally pressed the sync button on the bottom of the adapter or the mouse.

To fix this problem, press the sync button on the bottom of the adapter.
Next, press the sync button on the bottom of the mouse.

RF wireless technology can easily be compromised. Anything can interfere with connection from an appliance running to the surrounding walls and of course electro-magnetic interference. My suggestion is to look for a keyboard/mouse that uses bluetooth wireless technology.

I have a Lenovo x60 Tablet Computer and when the computer screen moves the mouse starts stuttering and the t messes up when typing.. also a blue screen comes up sometimes.

sounds like a loose lcd connector, or pinched cable.
the lcd connector is under the keyboard. remove the panel that has the power button on it, it should just pop off from one side to the other. the remove the 2 to 3 screws located at topof keyboard, plus remove 2 to 3 screws under laptop located in holesmarked with a big K maybe even circled. with keyboard out of way you will see the lcd cable connector, it should have a "paperclip" handle, pull it up then reseat the connector, reassemble and test.

I bought product and wont work

There are couple of reasons for your wireless mouse not to work. Please try changing the batteries first. Make sure that there are no other devices that might interfere with the signal. If the mouse is bluetooth then you might have to re-pair the device with the laptop in order to get better connectivity. On the mouse that you have is there was a "Connect" button that you need to press to get a new signal from the transmitter. Just to let you know, the transmitter is working with infrared; it only goes up to about 20 feet when in-line before it starts losing its signal.

My Microsoft Wireless Notebook Laser Mouse 7000 stutters

Replace the batteries. If this doesn't work, resync the mouse and the wireless adapter that is plugged into the computer.

Usually you can do this by holding down the button on the wireless adapter first and then the button on the mouse. This will also change the frequency in case something is interfering.

My problem is similar

Did solve the problem, the cause was a very silly one! The 'receiver' for the mouse signal had got moved around the back of the computer tower when I was changing internet provider. The signal was obviously being partly blocked!

Move the wireless adapter (one end connects to the keyboard/mouse ports on your computer) closer to the front of your computer, i.e., closer to where your wireless KB/mouse are located.
