Question about Dryers
Dryer stopped haeting so I am going to check heating element but cannot figure out how to take the case apart. Does the top come off or do you have to go through the bottom.
Most dryer tops come up from the front edge. pry the front edge up. It will usually have a small metal clip that is inserted it the top edge of the box. Also look for a hinge type connector with a screw in it. This needs to come off for complete top removal.
Some dryers have a service panel directly over the element and are closed with a single screw.
Also, Most of the element components (sensors and transistors) are visible from the back mounted on the exhaust channel.
Hope this helps, Rick
