Could be your harddrive is out of the system. Check its connections first, then have it detected. If not still been detected try changing cables and power plugging(interchange if it can). Other done than maybe failed drive already.

And before I forgot remove any other booting disc, usb, or flash card. Maybe you left one. Or try to lessen your fan usage during fault finding.

Clarification, could you boot in cdrom first? Can you get to DOS or command prompt?

Ok if you can, then try to access the hard drive. If you can acces it in dos prompt say c:\, then chances are you have corrupted files. Try first to boot using your installer cd then wait until you have the options in REPAIR. If this doesn't work, then use Partition Magic if you can have a rescue type cd much better, use the appropriate version for your hard drive capacity. But this process is actually near to formating the drive itself.

Other procedure is to use another blank formatted hard drive into the system.

For the easiest way if you don't have an spare then have it check by a qualified tech, you will not gonna worry for the spare for the test.

If you're saying it always boots into safe mode, try pressing Windows key + R, then type MSCONFIG and hit Enter. MSCONFIG screen will appear. Go to Boot tab and see if Safe Boot is checked. If yes, uncheck and click OK.

Lenovo 300- N200 fails during the boot process. Screen freezes after boot sequence.

Is it working with latest update from windows if you are using any windows operating system? Some applications installed by you which run at startup time hug the system.
You can try logging into the system in safe mode and try to see whether you are able to enter into the system or not. Once entered with safe mode rename the installation folder for the new applications that you might have installed, after which the system started freezing.
After renaming it you can boot the system in normal mode. As the new applicaiton will not be able to run (due to folder renaming) it is most likely that the system will boot properly and you will be able to enter the system.
Then rename back the folder to original verify the compatibility of th eapplicaiton and if possible uninstall the application.
This process has saved me from a lot of system complications. Hope this helps you.
By the way which operating system are you using?

PC BOOTS HALF WAY

Try booting into safe mode. If it's a driver problem, safe mode will allow you to start Windows with only the bare minimum of hardware and drivers being engaged. To get to safe mode, press the F8 button on your keyboard during the Windows boot process until it takes you to a screen to let you select Normal, Safe Mode, Safe Mode with networking, etc. I would suggest not using anything other than just Safe Mode. From there, uninstall any software or new drivers that you recently installed. Alternatively, you can use the System Restore feature to rollback to a previous restore point.

Operating system

This will be either an operating system glitch of a failed hard drive. Start by doing a system repair with your recovery or operating system disc. If the repair doesn't take, then reformat the hard drive and install a new operating system. If the hard drive will not format, or you have any issues during or after the install, then the hard drive has failed and will need replaced.
