Question about Hitachi 50UX57B 50" Rear Projection Television
How do you clean the spider webs out from behind the screen? On my hitachi 50 inch projection tv. how do you access the screen area to clean behind the front tv screen, I can see spider webs in the picture?
I have the same problem. I can see spider webs behind the screen and would like to know how to clean it myself without a technician. Please help me understand how to do this myself.

The front screen with the frame does remove from the cabinet giving you access to the mirror and CRT lens. Remove the speaker grill, remove the four screws on the bottom of the frame, then working underneath a corner proceed to pop the rivets holding the frame to the cabinet. It will seem impossible at first because you have to use a lot of force to pop each one out. When reinstalling,a rubber mallet may help popping each rivet back in (I am not kidding when I say they are tight)
