As a lot of the magnatrons are generic parts made by some factory in Asia who turn them out like by the million it is more than likely that they are fitted to other makers machines.

It is worth stripping down the unit and read who actually made it for Panasonic and do a quick check on their web site

Panasonic microwave S333 just stopped suddenly. I see on the internet that this has happened to others after about 2 yrs use. Any solution suggestion is appreciated.

Did it show an error code in the display?
If it showed H-98 or similar the magnetron has failed.
It is not a customer repairable item. Take it or have an Authorised Panasonic service centre look at it.

H98

The high voltage generator or magnetron has failed.
It is not a user repairable item and must be directed to an authorized Panasonic Repairer for service as it is TOO DANGEROUS TO WORK ON without the specific training and tools.

H97 fault code on a micro wave. What is the estimated cost to fix? Is it cheaper to buy a new one?

Either te magnetron has failed or the invertor has failed.
How long is a piece of string.
Ask a Panasonic Authorised Repair Centre for an estimate.

Panasonic dimension 4 microwave/convection oven Micvrowave part of oven not working, convection oven/grill fine. Is it a problem with the magnetron? Is there some form of internal fuse?

It sounds like the magnetron may have either failed or is not being supplied with the extremely high voltage required to run it.
Make sure the !!!!capacitor is discharged!!!!! before attempting any sort of repair.
Check the door interlock switches first then the high voltage diode with either an AVO model 8 on high resistance range for short circuit, the capacitor can fail and go short circuit, the feed fuse on the primary of the high voltage transformer and then finally, the magnetron is best checked by substitution.
Hope that helps.

My Panasonic NN- 553BF microwave oven is not heating but all the lights and everything else works

HI. in most cases, this will lead to a failed Heating device(magnetron tube). It would be wise to check the Magnetron cutoff fuse to be sure of its integrity. if the fuse is blown, simply replace it. if the fuse continues to show continuity, replace the magnetron.
(((The fuse is located inside the unit along side the magnetron)))

My panasonic NN-T945SF starts, runs for a few seconds and then shuts off. And I smell rubber burning.

It may be a loose connection in the wiring between the inverter, magnetron, and/or control board, or maybe one of those components has failed.

Due to the lethal voltages used and produced in inverters, I do not recommend that an inexperienced person work on these.

Wont heat

Hi, there are three issues that will cause a no heat situation in a microwave. these issue are a failed Magnetron, busted cut-off fuse and, failed diode.

I recommend checking all these area that are located inside the microwave for faults.

The most common issue will be a failed Magnetron.

The diode and, fuse will be located on the noise filter assembly.

Oven shuts off on cook after about 2 seconds

If the digital programmer circuit / controller does not get a feedback signal from the inverter for a period of 3 seconds, the controller will stop the cook cycle.

It may be a loose connection in the wiring between the inverter, magnetron, and/or control board, or maybe one of those components has failed.
