Question about Honda Maxus Pressure Washer MX5222
I think it got low on oil. added oil. Do you have to reset the low-oil sensor? I can't get the cord to pull. Was mowing w/Honda GCV160 and it began to die...turned off and pull cord tightened up---wouldn't pull after that.... cleared away all grass/etc....blades tough to turn and pull wont pull at all now.. Believe engine seized up, as it was low on oil (hadn't changed/filled since last summer a year ago). Any way for this "non-tech" guy to fix it? JB

Remove the spark plug and make sure that oil did not enter into the cylinder. Oil in the cylinder will feel like engine is siezed. With plug remove and engine will not turn suspect more serious problems. If the rod is siezed due to low oil, it can be replace by removing the sump. No big deal and could be nice project. Before you take anything apart, check that the cable to the safety stop is actually releasing. This could also make you think that the engine is siezed.
