I'm talking about the setup on the Kyocera KM-4035. In the address book, I have typed the pc's correct IP address, yet when I go to Scan > Send to PC > and choose that user, then go to SAVE AT PC, it says it cannot find the pc. I am scanning to other pc's.

    Does that make more sense?

How do we add a designated PC to the scanner function so that the KM-1650 All-in-One-Printer will recognize it as a destination PC?

You will need to get into the machine gui. Get your IP address and type it into the address bar of a web browser of your choice. You should then be able to add a user into the address book from there.

NOTE: There are 2 NIC's with these models. One for print and one for scan. This means you have 2 IP address's. You must have the correct one to input an additional PC.

Need to change IP address for Actiontec router for verizon fios

definately you will need to change the IP address.
But you can also change the IP address of the wireless extender.
so instead of changing the IP address of the router, you can change the IP address of the extender.
For that you will need to connect the computer to the Extender.
assign a static IP to the computer 192.168.0.10 and Default gateway 192.168.0.30. that will open the set up page of the extender.
change the IP addres of the extender to 192.168.1.30.
that will help you.

Scanner doesn't send to PC

hi
I dont work on Sharp machines but this may help

If a PC or network is running DHCP it means the IP addresses are on a short lease and are called Dynamic IP addresses.
If DHCP is turned off then your PC's are running Static IP addresses which means that they will not change.
Ok...if you are running dynamic IP addresses your scan to PC destination will have to be the host name of your PC and not an IP address
eg   james.
to find out, do the following
start,contol panel,system,computer name.

hope this helps

Scanner (c2520). all of the sudden, when trying to scan a document (we scan to PC...select a sender....save at user PC...and the message we are getting is:incorrect setting of destination folder. contact...

1. Use a web browser to go to the machine at the ip address that you assigned to the scanner to check the network connection.

2.you need to make sure that the computer you are scanning to has the "Kyocera scanning utility" installed and running in the background.
Make sure address book is running. In address book editor you can change the path of the destination forlder and the Id# that are linked together.
Hope this will help.

Unable to create an email address on a Imagerunner 3220

Hi Keeyan.

Fist you will need a send kit only supplied by your dealer.
If this funcktion is inable follow these steps.

Press the user button(it is the button with the star)
Select system settings, network settings-in network settings go down wit the arrow until you get e-mail/i-fax settings.(If it is not showing here or in tcp/ip settings the send kit might not be enabled)
In e-mail settings enter the smtp server name or ip address(you will find it on your computer in outlook under tools and acounts)
In the email you can enter a email address supplied by your network adminitrator.

If you have a DNS server insert the ip adress of the DNS in TCP/IP settings.
Make sure you IP addres is also correct.

Then you are ready to go

Xbox 360 to Linksys wireless modem...

OK I think the easiest way to connect the xbox to the linksys, is if you configure your XBOX to have a static IP address, because the xbox will not have to pick an IP address every time you connect to the internet using the Linksys router and will not have conflicts with other PCs on your house, if you have any. What the linksys does is to convert your Public IP addres into a Private IP address, so example if your ISP gave you an IP address of: 209.235.205.30 that is your IP address for you, then the Linksys converts that number (NAT) into a private IP address so it can be share with many computer inside your house using a single Public IP address. The Linksys always transform it into 192.168.1.?=any number between 1-256 thats the defaults IP address from the manufacturer but you can change it if you want. Ok enough info about NAT or IP jeje.

Where going to use the default IP addres for an easier setup.

First: On your XBOX 360 dashboard go to SYSTEM, then Network Settings, then Edit Settings, then choose the option manual, here put the IP address= 192.168.1.33 (if 33 doesn't work use another numer like 20 or 45 just pick a number between 2 and 250) ; Subnet Mask = 255.255.255.0 ; Gateway = 192.168.1.1; DNS options put Automatic. And see if it connects. If it doesn't work just post it here, any problem that you have.
