I want to past google map onto a document but I am unable to copy and past it. Ideas please?!

Google Maps are images that are not able to be copied and pasted by operating systems.

Mac: Hit control + shift + 4. select the region of the map you wish to capture. This will save this as an image to your desktop. This image can be inserted into a document.

Windows Vista/7. Open Snipping Tool. Select the region of the screen you wish to copy, then select copy from the menu and you will be able to paste it.

Im trying to copy text from ms word and burn it to dvd with no luck i have downloaded various softwarw programmes but still no good .please help

Once you copy (text, picture etc) from any file, You need to paste it somewhere before you can burn it. Once you copy something, computer holds it on something called a clipboard till you paste it to another document. This new document can be a notepad or another word file. So, once the copy is done, open note pad or an MS office new file and paste it on to that. Save this new file with any name (abc.txt or abc.doc for example). Now you can burn it to a CD or DVD. To burn, open the CD burning software. Start new data project, drag abc.doc or abc.txt file to the window at the bottom. click burn.

I cant copy paste or type in my file

It sounds like the "File is locked for edit" which is an option you can set for documents and such in MS Office.

Check that out first.

I highlight portions of webpage and right click copy but when i try to paste in folder the paste does not work

After you high lite it try pressing CTRL-C aka copy and then paste with CTRL-V

Some web pages disable these functions and don't tell you so try a different page as well. So the webpage won;t let you copy through the browser while the basic keyboard one will work. If that dioesn't work you either need to save or print the entire page.

M. Works won't let me paste anything onto document f/the Int.

After copying the contents you need go to edit on microsoft works and click on paste special. A small window should open asking you to select from three options. Click on unformatted unicode text then click ok. That should do it. Although italics and bold letters come out as regular print like the rest it does paste all that you've copied. This usually happens when you haven't updated your internet. After updating mine I no longer needed to do this process again.

Can't copy onto CD-R

hmmm.copy or send to? sometimes those CD-R's work best as a backup, or a copy and paste option..

vista and 2007 should be fine, but I'd check on the office site to ensure you're up to date.
