Question about Dell Latitude D620 Notebook
I do not understand why it happens, but for no reason I can determine, with the laptop volume muted, it beeps loudly when it connects wirelessly to the internet. Interestingly it does not beep when it connects via cable when docked in a docking station at work. Sometimes it beeps when a Windows warning pop-up appears. It's driving me nuts!
Go into your Intel PROSet/Wireless Application Settings (issue a Control + P from within the application) window. The setting that I changed was to uncheck the 'Show Information Notifications' box. This seemed to work for me.
