Your phone is most likely on "alarm" and on "mute". It sounds like you would benefit from downloading the manual. Try this link:http://us.lge.com/products/model/download/VX5200_MA.jhtml
Rather than type out the keys to fix both of these settings, just look up "alarm" and "mute" modes.
