You will need to replace the keypad. The keypad is bad and is easy to replace. It plugs into the system via a cord that once you remove the panel you will be able to know what is going on. If you go to your local appliance repair center or to you can get the part and also get instructions on installing the part properly. Step by step instructions. The price is roughly 100 dollars maybe a little less or more depending on your unit model. If you have any more questions let me know please I would be happy to assist in any way possible. Good luck

Set the time hit start and it goes back to zero and don't start

There are only two parts it could be. The control panel or the keypad. My money is on the control panel. If the keypad is in bad shape I would try that first.

Se display

Hello Arold - Typically, error code SE indicates a shorted keypad. Try resetting the microwave by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. This usually clears most false error codes. Wait approximately ten minutes and if the error code does not clear, I would recommend contacting a professional to proceed further. Most likely the touch keypad on the unit will need replacing.

Countdown dial swich does not move stuck

please see the next topic and proceed according with common sense.

a stuck key or non-responsive key, most of the time you will have to replace the keypad for this microwave oven repair. If your keypad is connected to your control board by a flat ribbon wire, try disconnecting it and clean the silver contacts with an ordinary pencil eraser. After cleaning, plug it back in and try it. If it doesn't fix it, replace the keypad unit. Some units actually have keypad tests to confirm your diagnosis of a bad key.If your keypad and control is the same unit, replace that unit. Another note, unlike stove/oven keypads and controls, most microwaves do not have error codes or tests to distinguish whether it is truely the keypad or control. Most of the time, it is the keypad that needs replacing, but a small percentage of the time it can be the control. Check the tech sheet if they can point you to the right parts.

God bless you

Timer counts down. Microwave keeps going

It is a bad door switch, or the keypad control board is the issue.

We have a sharp model 1470a carousel. we can enter data on the keyboard but the mwave does not staRT. eX: HIT 'BAKED POTATO', IT DOES NOT START. HIT 15 SECONDS AND THEN RUN AND IT DOES NOT START....

I would suspect that you have a bad door switch or mount, or perhaps the "Start" pad on your keypad is bad.

The quickest way to check is to hit the "Minute Plus" pad and see if the oven cooks.

If not, it's a door switch or switch mount issue, either the top or bottom one. See my complete text file on door switch trouble here.

If it cooks, then your keypad is defective. It is part number FUNTKB107MRE0 (note zeroes, not ohs) and you can order one from Encompass here or you can call them toll-free at 866-779-5835.

F3 error code ge microwave

No, unfortunately the membrane keypad is not available as a separate part on this model.

You would have to order the control panel frame, which comes with a new keypad already installed.

The part number is WB07X10883 and you can get it for $86.82 here.

In this case, you simply move your circuit board into the new frame. That is a simple do-it-yourself job.

At our Web site, we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range control panel assembly in under 5 minutes.

Then you unplug the keypad (as per the photo below) and move the circuit board into your frame.

Some connectors on the relays may have a lock:

I do not have the manual. How do I change the poiwer level on a Frigidaire Microwave model FMT116E1W

After setting the time amount before you hit the start button, push the power button with each push it should indicate a different power level if not you've got to use the keypad, for example, 50 is 50% power etc.

Microwave oven has a code of F-3 can not start

F3 is an error indication that there is a short in the key pad assembly. It is likely that this assembly will need to be replaced.

Be aware that Microwaves carry potentially lethal levels of voltage even when completely unplugged from the mains supply.

For this reason I recommend you get a tech to look at your microwave and you do not attempt any repair to a microwave yourself.

It is likely that the keypad assay will need to be replaced. This part costs usually around $100. You will also have a labour cost also to consider so you should weigh this cost up in economic terms before you decide to proceed.

Hope this helps. Please do rate this answer. Thanks.
