Question about Microsoft Natural Ergonomic 4000 Keyboard
I have a Microsoft Ergonomic keyboard. The lower right part of the board does not respond; the N M , . / AND the 123 on the number pad. The ENTER key also does not respond.
I believe this happened after I cleaned the keys with wet sponge. Did I short something out?
Sounds like you solved it yourself. NEVER use a wet anything to clean electronics, water and circuitry were never meant to meet.
You will most likely need to replace the keyboard, that being said if you need to clean it again in the future use "canned air" compressed gas to blow out any dust and debris and if you must scrub it down, disconnect it from the computer first, use something like Monster Screen Cleaner then let it dry overnight or blow it out with the "canned air" then let it airdry for at least 4 hours before plugging it back into the computer.
