Well, don't panic! Nowadays, the formatting process will not actually erase all the contained data on a computer drive as we think. The deleted data is still there and becomes invisible. So, act carefully to get these deleted data back:
1. Stop using this drive right now in case that any new file on it may overwrite your deleted data.
2. Connect this drive to your computer.
3. Download a formatted drive data recovery freeware to retrieve all your lost data back for free:
http://www.freeware-fix.blogspot.com/2013/02/hard-drive-format-recovery.html
This professional data recovery freeware has helped many people around me restore their inaccessible data off from a phone/camera memory card or hard drive. It could be a good choice for you to go on.
Try to read more detailed information of this drive data recovery freeware here:
http://freeware-fix.blogspot.com/2013/02/format-hard-drive-recovery.html

4. Do not save or back up all the restored data on the same drive in case of any data loss.
Next time, you should be more careful about your important data and always back it up at least on two hard drives.

If you format your system all data will be lost unless you have access to some very expensive software and hardware

You can do a repair function in XP Pro if the OS is flaky ?.

If you want to format the drive becasue the OS is sick take it out and put it in another machine , that way you can extract any data files you may need

Before you format it have you got all of the drivers etc for the motherboard and other peripherals if not you will be in deep doo doo after you hit the format button.

Last but not least have you got the keycode for the OS which was installed on your machine

I formatted my fat partition and now all my songs are gone

Hello
Formatting a partition of hard disc will wipe out all the data stored in it. There is now way to retrive the data from the formatted drive. You may have to backup the data before formatting. Now all lost have been lost for ever. OK.

Hi I want to format my laptop pavilion dv6 just C drive without losing my data in other drives using backup drive? thank's

You cannot format c drive while windows is running. If your operating system is in c drive then you need an operating system disk to reinstall and while doing this you will be asked to format your c drive If you want to format c drive without loosing data then simply transfer your data to another drive on your computer and use operating system disk to bot your computer Wait for the setup files to load and choose fresh installation option You will be asked to choose the drive to install OS and you can select c drive Then you will be available with an option to format c drive and install OS It will not effect other drives on e computer and your data is safe After installation of OS you can browse through other drives to retrieve your data. Hope this helps or you can ask for clarification if you need Thanks

Pen drive display free space 0 byte and used space also 0 byte

Try formatting the drive. Assuming Windows XP, just open your "my computer" icon, right-click on the device and choose format. Be aware, formatting will remove any data you may have had on there previously.

If you're using another OS, or if it's an existing drive, please re-state your question giving further details (what OS, what you are trying to retrieve, etc).

How many times OS has been installed on system.

sorry. but no way to know because each time an OS is install. The drive gets formatted. All the previous information usually is gone. Even by chance they did a quick format and some information in retained on the drive. you will need someone professional to retrieve it and still maybe can only retrieve 10% of the previous information.

SAYO TOWER W/ASUS motherboard Registry Corrupted

The file RUN32dll.EXE probably belongs to trojan malware called FTP_Ana. If you are getting adn error that it is missing it is likely that the file was removed by anti-virus software but there are still registry entries pointing to it. The first thing to try would be booting in safe mode and using system restore to roll the system back to a date before the trojan was installed. Due to the nature of this trojan, any number of changes may have been made to your system so the best solution will likely be to format the hard drive and re-load your operating system. If you have important data to preserve you could either replace the harddrive and retrieve the data later (instead of formatting) or connect your harddrive to another computer to retrieve the data before formatting,

Lost of space on micro SD card

Yes you can get your space back.
Let me clear you first you lost the space due to while system is writing data in your SD micro card it is suddenly ejected or disabled.

You will do this method to retrieve you data back. You will need some things
1. Card reader for SD micro memory.
2. A software called D M comes as Hard disk tool it comes in bootable cds.

You will remove your H D for safe side to protect your hard disk data.

Put your SD card in card reader and start you computer with bootable cd that contains D M software.

When your system is boot from cd run D M and go to option in D M erase all data. This will retrieve your all space from SD. Remember you can do the same thing with Hard disk if there is any bad sector or some space not avalible or disk partion is not able to delete by any softwares.

Hope this will help you, If you have any problem regards this you can reply to me other wise don't forget to make ansewer my thread.

Regards
nidostyle

I bought used d600 and need to format it

hi,
you can do the following.

D drive can be formatted from windows itself. open my computer. right click and click format and follow instructions.

But C cannot be formatted from windows as it contains files that would be in use.To format C insert the windows(OS) CD and restart. change boot option. this can be done by pressing F4 or F8 while the system starts. now cahnge boot device to cd. now follow the instructions to load the OS(windows) and install it in C. Select quick format or format and you are done. All previous data and the OS would be deleted and the drive would be formatted and the new OS would be installed. If You want to keep your previous files, select keep files system intact while the procedure is being run.
