New MX620 mouse works; older MX 3200 keyboard usb receiver died

A while back I purchased tghe MX 3200 wireless keyboard and mouse package to use with a lap top pc. These components communicated with the PC via a usb connected cord with a holder and plug-in receiver. I believe the receiver "died" So, because I needed to take my lap top on a trip, I purchased a new MX620 mouse. The receiver for this mouse plugs directly into a usb port on the lap top. The mouse works fine. Now, however, I can't seem to get my keyboard working again. I surmise this is so because it doesn't communicate to the new mouse receiver.
Any suggestions?

No, I did not remove the old drivers. What specifically should I do so that both the old component (keyboard) and the new component (mouse) both work?

I am awaiting your response to my reply.

You asked if I removed the old software and drives. I said "no"

I asked what specifically needed to be done so that both my old keyboard and new mouse will work.

    You failed to answer.

    I am not satisfied yet.

Its not the driver issue at all.its the problem of two different devices you have loaded in your laptop that is your keyboard and your mose are not compitable to each other to work in same system.and you mouse which you bought new is of new model is working but the key board which is of old model is not compitable with new model mouse so its not working.the solutiuon is to either get the new compitable key board to work with your mouse .or the old mouse which got bad you get the same model mouse it will work properly with your key board.
this will help.
thanks.please do rate the solution.thank you for using fixya.keep updated.

Keyboard not working but mous is working

Sounds like the keybaord, mouse, and receiver are out of sync. Under the keyboard is the Connect button. Press it, then press the Connect button under the receiver that's connected to your computer. You may want to do the same with the mouse as well, just so all three components are properly sync'd at the same time.

If that doesn't do it, try reversing the order (receiver Connect, then the keyboard Connect button).

I have a MX 3200 wireless keyboard and mouse. the

The problem was that ther keyboard was encrypted for my protection. this sometimes prevents the keyboard from connecting to the receiver and therefore the computer. to stop encrypton: press the left CRTL + left ALT + F12 key at the same time. Press the connect button on the receiver (you only have a few seconds to then press the connect button on the keyboard. Press the ESC key. Now you must start the encrypton again. Install SetPoint software from www.logitech.com/downloads. after you save and run the program, then press left CTRL + left ALT + F12 keys. sometimes there is an encrytpion wizard that pops up to help you further encrypt the keyboard, but this does not always pop up. It didn't on mine. My keyboard just started working right after i re-sarted the encryption.

hope this helps others that were in my situation.
