Question about Philips Televison & Video
It's a 42'' flat screen last week every once in a while half the screen would blank out, the bottom only, then yesterday we lost the picture completely but the light was still green. After a few minutes the light turned to red and now flashes 7 times then stops and a few seconds later will do it again, unless I unplug it.
When the bottom half of the picture goes out this usually indicates a failure of the lower Y driver module. When this module fails it will often take out the Y sustain module and when that happens the set goes into over current shut down. Both boards will have to be replaced. All of this is assuming you have a Plasma set and not a LCD flat panel.
