What about the freezer?. Check door seals with a dollar bill, close the door with the bill in different spots, if bill comes out to easy then seals might be bad or a door adjustment is in order. Make sure the coils underneath or behind do not have a layer of dirt on them. Try these simple steps and let us know thanks

Hi, I have a KitchenAid KSRB25FKSS02 and our refrigerator is not cooling and it is already set to the coldest setting, but our freezer is working just fine.

This is a fairly common problem and is likely caused by the failure of a concealed fan that is responsible for distributing cooled air from the freezer section to the refrigerator side.
SearsDirect parts department has full information on your KitchenAid fridge at the link below:
The fan I suspect is shown here:

Looking at the various pages should give you an idea if you consider this a DIY task or call a pro.

Kitchenaid superba refrigerator side at lowest temp setting is not cold enough. Freezer temp is fine.

Check the setting of your vents between sides and open them, sometimes you have to pull out the produce drawer to find the lower one

KitchenAid Superba fridge section not cooling, freezer is cold.

You have done a good job of attempting to diagnose by process of elimination, but this is a more complex system. I have provided some links below to assist you in diagnosing your problem. Links courtesy of

1. Ascertain that the evaporator fan is operational. This may be controlled by the Door Switch, (No.4) and could cause the fan to be inoperable.
2. Ascertain that the Fresh Food compartment light goes off when door is closed.
3. The air diffuser may be faulty by not controlling the air flow from the freezer properly

Tip: Always maintain dual temperature control settings at equal or +/- 1 setting position.

How refrigerators work:

You will need to verify operation of the following components listed below:

1. Evaporator fan motor
2. Air diffuser assembly
3. Light switch for refrigerator/freezer light
4. Door switch

Kitchenaid superba refrigerator problem

I'm almost 99% sure that you have a bad compressor relay. Have you been hearing a clicking noise coming from behind the unit? This is the first indication of a failed compressor relay. Pull the unit out and unplug it. Remove the back cover and go to the compressor. You will find a device on the side of the compressor that has the wires hooked to it. This is the compressor relay and overload. It may be under a black cap. Remove the cap to access it. It may have 2 pieces to it or it may just have the 2 pieces encased in a white and tan box. Remove this box and shake it. If it rattles like gravel in it then it is bad. If it is in 2 pieces then it will have a brown relay. This is the piece that will rattle if bad. The white and black piece with one wire is the overload. They most never go bad. Use this replacement part kit...8201786 and follow the detailed instructions included in the kit. Thanks for the question. Hope this helps.
