Question about Sony RDR-HX510S DVD Recorder/HDD Recorder

Sony DVD Recorder not recording correctly

DVD player 3 months old.   Doesn't happen all the time but has started to change channels during automatic recording.   You don't realise until you play back and only have part of the programme and the rest is from another or several others channels.

follow this step:

Timer recording on GoVideo VR2940

First, you need to have the cable directly input into the recorder.

If you only plug the cable box into the machine, you get what is happening now.
After splitting the cable, one side into te box and the other into the recorder, run the channel seek part of the program and it will scan all the channels available on the cable and place them in memory.

Then plug the output of the cable box into the other input on the recorder, and you get yor pay channels and upper tiers.

Your recorder is now a switching unit as well
