Bios passwords i use finger print in my laptop i lost password and all

You can remove or change the Window's User or administrator's password and privileges. You need access to a computer with Internet access to download the Hiren's Boot CD and burn it onto a CD. Then insert this CD into the laptop/computer and boot up the laptop/computer with the Hiren's CD and follow the instructions. There are very useful utilities CD and it a Linux boot CD which contains quite a lot of Utility programs including a password removal program. Log onto machine as local administrator
Launch HP ProtectTools Security Manager for Administrators
Bios Configuration -> Security
Fingerprint Reset on Reboot - Enable.
Reboot
Esc for Bios Setup
Choose Bios Option

Press F1 accept a reset of the password .

With a fingerprint required no software fix will work - you must reset the password directly to the BIOS chip. For your safety (you can easily damage the laptop if you open it without perfectly knowing what you're doing) take the laptop to the service center.

If you have set the password, you should be able to remove it. Read the user manual that came with your computer. These passwords are a way to discourage the theft of computers.

Even though it has a fingerprint lock. There should still be a password. If you know the password. Or else you will need to format and reinstall the Operating System on the computer to use it.

It is asking for the password that was set up with the finger print reader,Not the bios password.

There is always a password associated with the "finger swipe"
If he somehow managed to setup without a password you would be able to hit the enter key with the password bar blank and get in.

If you get an incorrect password error that means there is a password.

If you could get him to let you in once you could change the password. The only other way is to remove the cmos battery and reset the bios, you would need to disassemble the laptop to do that.

If I was a CSI I would be able to tell you how to lift his print off of a glass of water and make a mold of it(just kidding, I don't think that works)

Hoping you are using some version of windows OS. Go to safe mode... press the power button to boot and while booting keep pressing F8 which will allow you to go to safe mode and reboot the machine if you are able to sucessfully able to go to safe mode. Now boot to normal mode as usual boot. If you still notice BSOD(blue screen of death) then once more go to safe mode and uninstall the new softwares if you have installed any on your laptop recently like graphics device driver or audio driver so on.... if you are not sure of new softwares installed.. use system restore method in safe mode to restore the system to older date it should resolve your problem. system restore tool of windows will be in start-> program -> accesories-> system tools-> system restore.

The finger print bull is how that password came up for me and they want a 125.00 to remove it. I called the better business bureau and filed a complaint. They shouldn't have any right to control your laptop. I to have a 6292 , took it apart as far as I could and could not find jumper or password. This is a gimmick to make money.
