Thanks so much, no matter what resolution I use in the display settings, the desktop still moves around. The whole display moves. It seems to move about an inch in any direction then it stops . It is difficult to click on an item with your mouse or trackpad. The desktop actually moves in the opposite direction of your mouse. If you push your cursor or arrow to the left, the screen or display moves to the right.

hey thanks luis. I took it down to my computer shop. There is a tech there, that figured it out in a few seconds. He's not a mac guy, but he's fairly good. If you hold down apple and option at the same time and hit the number 8, it turns on a zoom control. It really screws up your desktop. I have a macbook pro

Probably by mistake you set a display resolution bigger than your screen size, try lowering the display resolution to something typical such as 1024x728 or even 600x800 and see if that fixes it.

I just turned on the Mac and suddenly it kept switching between desktops and opening applications. The mouse is moving of its own accord and a hard shutdown didn't change anything. Please help!

Could be software but I detect a ardware problem, unplug your mouse then key board and see if it stops. Sounds like two hardware devices are triggering at the same time. You could also have hardware problems with the MB or some other board. Not to likely but possible, I had a keyboard go crazy one time and it went crazy like that. also your mouse can turn into a 'RAT' and cause it to act up. Try this before you do anything else.

USB mouse not working?

Ok don't worry. Sounds like you need to Unplug the mouse for a sec then re-plug it back in to reset it. If the mouse is wireless then try replacing the batteries. Cause a wireless mouse can still turn on if batteries are weak but won't have enough power to connect to the receiver connect to the desktop/laptop. Try doing so and let me know if this solves your issue.

CRAZY MOUSE IS ALIVE

I take it that it is a led mouse (red light under it)..

Get a brush and brush where the light is under the mouse, sometimes a tiny hair or bit of fluff can stick in there and cause that problem...

Cant get shortcuts to display on the desktop

if you want to creat any shotcuts on your desktop, you may use the mouse:
1) move to the icon you want to create on the desktop and click and hold left key
2) moving to desktop and then release the key,
the new shotcuts will be created on the desktop

Laser mouse goes crazy

Its probably not Microsoft?s fault even though they are an easy target for all of us. When they say the software hasnt been certified that means it hasnt met the standards required to ensure stability in most environments. This is their way of protecting the consumer from buying something that may cause problems but at the same time allowing you the ability to override the warning. If you override the warning then you have to accept the ramifications?. That aside there are a couple of things we can try; however, the flaky keyboard behavior screams driver issues to me: - Try using a different surface for the mouse, a piece of black paper or a mouse pad will do for a test. Some optical mice don?t like the way some desktops reflect their LED light and can behave as you describe. - Try brand new-high quality batteries you absolutely know are fresh and working. - Totally remove all software and reinstall from scratch. - If you?re plugging the mouse into a USB port try powering down the computer and using the PS2 port for the mouse instead. Mice in my experience overall work better using PS2 ports on PCs that have them. - If after all this you still have no success then I would suggest you call Dynex support and ask if they have a driver that is written correctly for Windows. If not I would return it and take a look at Logitech, Microsoft or one of the other venders that make mouse/keyboard combinations with well written drivers. I hope that helps and that others don?t feel obligated to flame me. At any rate if you have any other questions please let us know and as always don?t forget to rate the posting.
