My desktop moves everytime my mouse moves.

I don't know how it happened, but every time that my mouse moves, my desktop moves. it is driving me crazy. Went into system preferences to try to fix it, but couldn't figure it out.

I just turned on the Mac and suddenly it kept switching between desktops and opening applications. The mouse is moving of its own accord and a hard shutdown didn't change anything. Please help!

Could be software but I detect a ardware problem, unplug your mouse then key board and see if it stops. Sounds like two hardware devices are triggering at the same time. You could also have hardware problems with the MB or some other board. Not to likely but possible, I had a keyboard go crazy one time and it went crazy like that. also your mouse can turn into a 'RAT' and cause it to act up. Try this before you do anything else.

My mac screen and wallpaper moves every time I touch my mouse

I think what has been done is your grandchild has accidently magnified your screen slightly. To correct this hold down your ctrl key on your keyboard and move your finger on the mouse scroll button back. Hope this helps.

Hi i have a hpg62 and everytime i use it the curser always freezes i have tried re installing. i have tried to go onto change the properies on the synaptics but it still happening because i dont know why...

Look at the touchpad, in the upper left corner. Is there an orange light on? If there is, double tap that light and it will turn off, and re-enable the touchpad. If it isn't, try double-tapping twice to turn the orange light on and off. When the light is on, it means that it won't use the touchpad, that way you don't bump it and move the mouse on accident.

My desktop moves everytime my mouse moves.

probably by mistake you set a display resolution bigger than your screen size, try lowering the display resolution to something typical such as 1024x728 or even 600x800 and see if that fixes it.

Have emachine w5243 and the cursor is going crazy it appears it does what ever it wants. sometimes highlites words in blue, deletes, moves around on the screen and then at times do not allow me to handle...

what kind of mouse are you using?

Optical Mouse or the one with the Ball under it?

if the one with Ball under it...clean the sensor by removing the cap and ball...and clean the roller inside.

if your mouse is Optical, check the setting of your mouse (contol panel>>>mouse)

install the driver too to have more options
