Find a part for my roller chair?

your best best is to contact the manufacture for OEM parts. as this isn't going to be a universal part, you can't really just pick it up at the local parts store. specially with a 16 year old part.

Roller not turning when vaccuming

just had the same exact issue with mine - took everything apart - found that the swivel roller brush wasnt turning. it was not any belt issues or motor issues. took out brush roller - held in my hand by holding just the hand cap still - and tried turning the roller with my other hand. roller would not turn at all but is supposed to with no effort. on some models the end caps pop off but most are one piece and are just discarded and a new roller bought - seems to be $10-$20 for one for most dirt devils and under $10 shipping in north america. you can try something down the side of the roller and end cap like a razor - i did cut lose some crud and it works - but roller still stops on 2 of 4 settings on the rug because of this. i've already ordered a new one.

Brush roll won't turn on for the shark NV22L vacuum. the light on the brush roll is dark, not red or green

Atthe bottom of the vacuuam are screws to take off...two of them are near the rear wheel assembly....two of them are behind the front mini wheels (just pry the front mini wheels so that they pop out...they pop back in)
Remove all of the screws. Remove the bottom from the top..they come apart in two pieces. Ceck the belt on the bottom piece. Slide the roller out starting from the end opposite from the motor end. With the roller off, slacken the the belt so that it misses the gear on the motor (you will have to hold it with your hand). Plug in the vacuum. Turn the power on to the roller on position. The motor should work and the green light should be on. If the motor doesn't work, then it is defective. If it does work, turn off, unplug and shoot the gear and the two ends of the roller with WD-40. reassemble. good luck.

How do you change the belt

on the bottom of the vacume you should see about 4 screws ( philips ) that hold the plate in place, remove the screws and plate and this will expose the motor shaft, belt and roller ( you should also see the broken belt there two ) -- pop out the roller ( pull straight up ). put new belt onto the motorspindle and then onto the roller, snap roller back into place ( note: on the edges of the roller it is somewhat keyed to only fit into the vacume a certain way ), replace the the plate and screws and you are good to go. also while you are getting dirty -- clean the air filter and examine the hose between the floor roller and the suction hose for dirt build up and debris.

I cannot get the beater bar off my Eureka ''the boss'' 25th anniversay editon.

Take the top 2 screws off the top of the hood. Lift the hood off forward. That will get you access to the roller brush. You will need to take a flat headed screws driver to the ends of the roller brush housing and pop the roller out.

Turbo Brush roller problem on Electrolux Harmony EL6985

To get the bottom off, you have to remove the two big wheels by popping them out, and there are two more screws underneath. Once you remove those screws, you can pop the housing halves off and get to everything inside so you can clean it.

Roller problem

I have 3 Prontos, one in each part of the house. Two of mine had the rollers stop. I figured out the problem and it fixed both. Take the roller out by turning the plastic screw and popping the plate off. Pull all debris off the wheel that turns. Turn unit on and make sure this wheel is turning freely. Take the brush and look on the end with the square part. Take some pliers and gently pull this square piece off. I had to wiggle it a little, but it pops right off. Clean all debis (mine had several small dust balls and 1 long hair) in the square part and down in where the square part goes. Push the square part back on and put brush back in unit. This fixed both of mine. Hope it helps.
