Hi smeker2003,

I have the same mouse and the same problem, it has been getting worse for some time. The reason they do this is the gold foil you see on the contacts corrodes away and eventually looses the ability to conduct enough electricity to charge the unit.

If yours is in the beginning stages of failing, simply cleaning the contacts and repositioning it slightly in the charging base may get it charging for now but it won't last long. Mine started having minor troubles about 1 1/2 years ago and completely stopped charging about 3 months ago.

Good news is they are standard AA rechargable batteries, so you can do what I do and simply swap the batteries with another device like phone or camera and charge them in the other device or buy a small wall charger and use it for rechaging once the unit completely stops.

As for the other comment, MX Revo and similar MX series do not have a "user serviceable" battery and as such there is no easy access to it, first try the above suggestion to clean contacts then, if it doesn't work and you have the skill to disassemble and saulder together new battery cells feel free to pry it open, it's preasure fitted but I would recommend just buying a new one as the cost barely justifies the time and expense of rebuilding it.

I assume you are using usb socket to charge mouse. The voltage on a USB is 5volts , you may have a problem here. It may not be producing the correct voltage. Or you may have a problem with your cradle. I would suggest you see a repair person and get them to look at the USB voltage and the Mouse cradle..
Hope this helps.

My GE mouse doesn't work anymore

First thing to do is check the device manager. If it shows up there, make sure that there are no icons saying there is a problem.

Stopped recharging

Two things: 1) This mouse and charger does not like rechargeables larger than 1800mAH. The light on the front will(sometimes) go red if you use a higher rated battery than the 1800mAH. You said you replaced the batteries, but might want to check their rating. 2) My mouse gets harder and harder to get a good connection when putting it in the cradle. Might be the contacts are getting dirty. When you put it in the charger, you should see the optical beam (red on the back) go out and the green light on the front turn on. If this doesn't happen, it isn't connected.

You do have the cradle plugged in and the batteries installed the right direction in the mouse? I know it's obvious, but the questions always have to be asked.

Flahsing Red Light

Now what you have to do is look for a reset button on your mouse and your wireless mouse signal receiver.
When the receiver and mouse both are on press the reset button on both of them one by one.
This should solve the problem.

Flashing light

cycle the batteries in a external charger a fex times (charge then discharge) I suspect that over the years of using then putting it in its dock the batteries have had a very erratic charge discharge cycle cycling them as I suggest should bring them back.
