Audio sound problem which are not coming output

I need help.. There is some problem with sound in my system. When play anything on my system, it starts playing but no sounds comes out of speakers. Nor does any system sound is playing. I checked the drivers but they all are installed and working properly. I also checked the the sound mixer and all settings are fine there. And the speakers are also fine as the it plays Windows startup sound. The speaker becomes dead only after when the system loads the desktop and all the other startup programs. Previously it was working fine, since I brought the laptop. I started facing this problem after I installed Windows Vista Service Pack 1, but I dun think any problem can come from it. Please help me, if somebody has any idea about what could be wrong with my system. I am asking it here just because, if by chance, someone had faced the same problem before, so he would be able to help me.

Install a new audio software and run speaker test with that software.

you can try to update your sound driver or do a rollback driver or try to uninstall and reinstall the drivers, also you can try to test by using headsets as well.

IM tryin to hook up my samsung home theater system to my philips tv. It works when watching dvd, but when i switch to my basic tv cable it doesnt play sound out of my surround sound speakers. How can i...

Check what type of Audio input it has on it. It should either have an Optical Audio input(glowing red while unit is turned on) or an Audio input(red and white jacks) You would run the correct cable from the Audio Output on your tv, To the Audio Input on your surround sound reciever. Let me know if this helps solve your problem.

Hit won't play anything no sound wil come out but a faint buzz

The audio output ic pack is shorted that is located near the power transformer. The ic pack must be replaced, but it will need to be dismantled to get at the part.

MY THEATER SYSTEM WONT PLAY MY TV THROUGH THE AUXIN

The physical TV is a 2-channel analog audio device. Think about it this way: Most high-end users use video monitors (no audio or speakers on board). So where does the TV-related audio come from....

It comes from the same place the TV would get it - cable, satellite, dvd, blu-ray, vcr...

So why run audio from any of those sources to the TV and back to the receiver (whose specialty is multi-channel sound)?

I imagine your cable or satellite box has digital and analog audio outputs. The receiver needs a digital input for anything multi-channel. Select the highest-quality one that's compatible with your HTS and use it for the audio feed.

I have an lg lcd mod#lc427d hdtv how do i hook up an rca rt2280 system to it. i have a dvd player hooked up to tv now using hdmi cables, rca av reciever does not have them...

You can check your dvd player for a coaxial or an optical sound output, then you can plug it directly to your receiver. Those two are the best options after HDMI. Another option is A/V RCA type cable, you´ll need 3 stereo A/V wires, in order to connect the 6 channels. Remember to uncheck the HDMI sound output option on the DVD menu.

I need a diagram of how to hook up my jvc 5.1 surround sound to my tv, dvd and cable box

I my self don't have that exact unit, but most are similar, and i have looked up the specifications which are:

Inputs:
1 x S-video input
1 x Composite Video Inputs
1 x Digital Audio (TOSLINK) Input
1 x Stereo Audio Input

Outputs:

document.write(neg_specification_newline('1 x S-Video Output
1 x HDMI Output')1 x S-Video Output
1 x HDMI Output
INPUTS (coming from devices to the system):
1) The unit already comes with a DVD player, correct? If so you don't need to connect it. If you do, connect your DVD play via an s-video input, since a normal DVD player doesn't need a higher quality/resolution input.

2) Connect your cable box to the home theater system via a composite cable (the one with Red green blue), if it has composite outputs ofcourse. If not, do it visa versa with the DVD, if your dvd has composite. So make the dvd via composite and cable box via s-video.

3) Audio from the dvd, this would be via Digital Audio (TOSLINK) Input or stereo audio input. the digial audio will give you true 5.1 surround sound, and the stereo will only give you left and right channels, like you would hear from anything else (like a normal cd, radio, etc).

4) audio from cable box, would be again depending what you want. If you cable provider gives you alot of programming that has 5.1 surround sound (mostly HD channels), you would be better off with the digital audio. But if you watch more via your DVD, then connect the cable box via the stereo input. Again, this is to your preference, and which one you want true 5.1 surround sound from. The system should be able to 'emulate' 5.1 surround sound via the stereo cable too, but if your watching a movie, it can't really tell if a sound is supposed to come from the left rear or the left front.

Output:
5)connect to tv via HDMI if available, or S-video.

HDMI is much higher resolution (HD quality) S-video is normal cable programing or 'dvd quality'.

And the Tv would be left on mute or volume=0 since no audio is connected to the tv! All the audio should now come from your system.

Sorry if this was too vauge, but I don't have the same system and dont know exactly what/where all the connections are. If you have any other questions let me know.

No sound

Hello, amp-amp!

The first piece of information we need to find out is whether there is any sound from the 360 at all. When you switch menus in the dashboard, do you hear anything?

Do other games have proper sound?

Which game are you trying to play? Some games give the option to alter what sound setup you are using. If your current sound setup does not support 7.1, 5.1 surround sound, etc.. you will not hear anything.

Go to your dashboard.
Press the Right Bumper until you get to the "System" tab. Select "Console Settings".
Select "Audio".
Select "Digital Output".
Select "Dolby Digital".
Any sound now?

And, as with any audio problem, we need to make sure your audio cables are plugged into the proper jacks. What type of a/v output cables are you using on your 360 (i.e. what color are the tips?).

Thanks, reply back with any information you have, please!
