I have the same problem with my GE gas wall oven model # 326b1230p001. The locked door light is blinking and I can open and close the door. Because I can not clear the blinking light I am unable use the oven. Please explain how I can fix my oven with the correct parts for my model.

In part you responded with "you nay also want to look inthe electrical enclosure exposed by removing the control panel, Lookfor a small silver and black device with 2 wires attached to the back. The device is about .5" wide by 1" long and is attached with 2 screwsto the sheet metal on the bottom of the electrical enclosure."

What am I looking for? Will this part possibly need to be replaced? Is there a part or parts # for it? I understand that I may need to replace the control panel, but I am trying to avoid this since I just replaced it for the 2nd time about a year or 2 ago.

Hi siestakey,

we still are finding ways to have the issue resolved as of today. below is an example of your issue and the work around's we made to get it to work.

http://www.fixya.com/support/t2205347-flashing_locking_door_light

the conversation may be locked to you but this will give you a general idea.

first off was that the switch on the door and the door hinge was checked. if the function is correct then there is a possibility that you may need to reset the unit (as explained on the manual).

you nay also want to look inthe electrical enclosure exposed by removing the control panel, Lookfor a small silver and black device with 2 wires attached to the back. The device is about .5" wide by 1" long and is attached with 2 screwsto the sheet metal on the bottom of the electrical enclosure. Mine was located nearly in the middle of the electrical enclosure.

if this did not go anywhere, having the control board replaced will have this issue isolated and resolved but may cost a little about 200 dollars.

hope this helps,

regards,

voodoo

unfortunately the control board is the culprit at this point. but above all, with the work around we may have it avoided

I ordered and received a replacement door for my 2002 spacemaker ge microwave. The lady I spoke with said I would be able to install it myself. I figured there would be directions in the box explaining...

HELLO.

Below is the solution to replace your microwave door.

Unplug the oven from the outlet and/or shut off the gas valve. Open the old door completely and unlock the hinges by pushing the hinge out toward you and down toward the door. Slightly close the door and lift the door up and toward you.

Install the new door. Make sure the wall oven door hinges are aligned to go into the rectangular wall oven slots. Place the hinges into the slots. The hinges should "catch" on the slots comfortably.

Ensure the door is fully opened and push the hinge locks into an upright position. The two hinge locks should rest on top of the two hinges that are inserted in the wall oven slots.

Close the door and open it several times to make sure the door is properly opening and closing. Replug the oven back into the outlet and/or turn the gas valve back on.

Thanks.

The green light on the wall switch is blinking constantly yet it works to open/close the door. The remote does not work. Any suggestions?

Press and hold the lock button on the wall control for 3 seconds. The light will stop blinking and your remotes will work.

Oven door after self clean cycle won't unlock

Both the oven" ON " light and " Clean " light will flash when the clean has finished . When the " clean " light flashes , slide the latch handle to the left as far as it will go , then turn the " OVEN SET " knob to " OFF " to open the door.

Garage door wont work with remote

If the small light in your wall control is blinking it is in the lock mode. Press and hold for 3 seconds the button with the icon of a lock. This will toggle the lock function off.

There is usually a micro switch that is activated when the lock lever is in place - very likely this switch is still activated or has failed closed (defective) .

I let the door stay open, hold the switch closed with my finger, activated self clean. Let it run for a minute then hit cancel, the stove heating element shut off and the locked door blinked for 5 seconds then finally stopped. Back to normal.

Ge wall oven blinking door locked for days

The switch inside the door lock mechanism is stuck down making the unit think it is still locked.  the switched is located next to the hook that locks your door.
