Ok with that issue you actually need the manual for the netgear router. If that doesn't help you then you need to contact tech support by going to www.netgear.com and having them help you! That is the best way to go right now!

My netgear internet adapter not workin


Can you specify the problem more closely? It's not working at all or it can't connect to the internet? You should check if your power cable is plugged in and device is turned on. Check out users manual for more details. You can get it here: Netgear n300 users manual

Cannot connect to internet through netgear n300 wireless router


They are pretty straight forward. Connect the ISP modem to main uplink port. Then connect pc to any other port. Done!


Try resetting it by holding the reset in till it cycles through. This will clear all custom setting and try again.


I normally don't suggest firmware upgrades, but try updating.

192.168.0.1 Defual login if you cleared custom is User: admin Password: admin

Other than that the unit is damaged / defective.

Netgear router N 300 cannot connect to the internet using laptop

What is the security key of netgear wireless connection?


Hi,

Security key in side the router. To get the key you need to access the routers web interface. Please follow the steps below on a wired pc. A pc which is directly connected with the netgear router using an Ethernet cable.

1. Open internet explorer and in the address box type http://192.168.0.1 and press enter. It should ask you a user name and password. User name is admin and password is the word password. click on login or ok.

If you don’t get user name and password window with http://192.168.0.1 and try http://192.168.1.1 or http://routerlogin.net

2. Click on wireless settings on the left hand side.
3. Under the security section if the security is wep then note down the key one and this is the security key you need.

If the security is something else then you wont be able to see the security key it will ******. In this i'll suggest you to change the security key to wep, encryption should be 64 bit and authentication type should be open. In the security key one box you need to type in the security key, The lenght of the key should be 10, you can only use a-f and 0-9. For example 123abc567f. and save the settings.

Try connecting on the wireless pc.

Note: if you change the security key then you need to connect all the wireless devices with the new key.

Can't connect to the internet


Hi,

You need to changed the channel number of wireless router, for that you need login to netgear router.

open internet explore and type there www.routerlogin.com then press enter,it will ask you for user name and password
typed user name as "admin" and password as"password"
now click on wireless setting which is under setup
now you can change channel into 09
now try to reconnect wireless

Can't connect my Netgear WGR614v7 to Time Warner Cable Internet


I have just bought a Netgear WGR14 v9 and I was wondering if anyone knows how to set it up with Time Warner. We just swithced from Bellsouth to Time Warner and I don't know how to set it up?

Netgear Firewall


with the router connected, open Internet Explorer and type http://192.168.1.1 after you log in there is a option on the left for firewall and you can turn it off. If it were me I would use the routers firewall over a software firewall though. By the time a software firewall detects a hack, its already in the PC.
