Question about Toshiba TN61X81 61" Rear Projection Television

1 Answer

Red keeps going out but there is a new bulb in place.

When I first turn on my view sonic projector everything is fine. After 3 minutes or so the color starts to flicker and the red goes out leaving everything greyish blue. I replaced the bulb two weeks ago? What is the problem?

Keeps going to double red light shuts down, then it resets and turns on for 5 minutes and then turns off again, what could be the issue? thanks

I've seen this happen almost exactly on a Canon projector. The problem was the bulb. After the bulb was replaced the problem went away.

not sure which model you have but sounds like the blue polarizer has overheated over time. when you put the new lamp in I would think that the extra light you now have is highlighting the problem more plainly.
If this is the case then a new polarizer would be needed

Have you tried cleaning the fliters on the back of the unit? It's easy to do. Pull them out, and blow them clean. Also, is the projector well ventilated - mine overheats sometimes and shuts off. Otherwise, sounds like he bulb to me.

I have a Dell MP2300 with a bad power supply. Everything else is in excellent working condition. the bulb is less than a year old and has less than 500 hours on it. My asking prices are:
1. WITHOUT BULB: $50 shipping
2. WITH BULB: $150 plus shipping .

If you are interested, please contact me. I will also consider offers.

CP-S335 popping noise when powering on

Hi Eva

A Projector does'nt like being switched on and off all the time , if you are going to watch a couple of movies - rather leave the machine running all the time - this will also help you to get more hours out of your lamp - and that's a promise.

As far as the noise is concerned - it is most probably just the machine that was not cooled down properly at that stage.
