Question about Canon imageRUNNER 400S Copier

Copier stops after 35 copies when using finisher

I have a Canon ImageRUNNER 400 w/ C-1 Finisher. When copying multiple pages and stapling (whether 2-sheets each or more), the system stops after each 35 copies and a message displays to "Remove Paper." I know this would come up for each print job but I am copying 360 copies of the same item. Any ideas?

This is due to the output tray you sre using only having a small capapcity sensor what you should do is set it to come out from the finisher unit to the lower tray as this holds more sheets you can check this by looking at the output tray and when it asks you to remove paper see if the top pages are resting on the paper sensor in the tray. good luck A

How do I reload staples into my Xerox WorkCentre 7530?

You did not indicate finisher? Xerox MFPs' come with the most finishing options of any manufacturer.... I included instructions for all of them below. Enjoy!
Solution : Load Staples in the Professional Finisher With Booklet Maker The stapler in the booklet maker uses two Staple Cartridges labeled R2 and R3. Booklet stapling requires that both Staple Cartridges be free of jammed staples.
WARNING: Do not perform this procedure when the printer is copying or printing.
  1. Make sure the printer has stopped copying or printing.
  2. Open the Finisher Front Door.

  3. Squeeze the orange R2 and R3 levers together and pull the Staple Cartridge unit out of the Finisher until it stops.

NOTE: The Staple Cartridge unit does not detach from the Finisher.

We used to have canon imagerunnerr 3100 and recently swapped out for 3220. Everything works basically the same except stapling. On the 3100 if I was photo copying and stapling a landscape document it...

Its only because I care about folksthat I answer questions like this since the chances of have my score diminishing is so great when the feedback rolls in.Ok,gut check tells me you have a different(less capable) stapler(finisher). The old standard has been upper left corner. then came the "zoom" stapler that could move to most anywhere to provide stapling on LTRR and legal.I bet you have a NEW and improved copier, but the finisher has less capabillities.Ask for the old finisher back if thats an option. The old finisher SHOULD interface with your new copier. I hope I helped.... ! :-)

Assuming you have a saddle finisher?
Ensure the originals are programmed in correctly.
Highlight booklet on display. Select original size.
Orientation of paper in cassette needs to be A4R.
Program asks if you want stapling.

If no saddle finisher then ensure paper cassettte is A4R.

How to load staples in canon imagerunner 3300 copier

Does your copier have the finisher or saddle to have staples? There should be instructions in the user manuals for replacing staples. If you don't have the user manuals, I'd ask Canon to purchase replacement copies or look on the web.

How do i refill staples in the the canon imageRUNNER 3300?

Look in the Reference Guide. This should come with your copier if you bought it new. Do you have Finisher J1 (internal finisher, paper comes out above paper trays) or the SaddleFinisher and inner2way tray (paper comes out on left hand side of machine).
For finisher J1 look starting on page 7-38. Saddle Finisher 7-61.
Can get Reference and Copy guides here: http://ww2.canon.it/supporto/manuali_operatore/elenco.asp?t=&i=IR3300&id=IR3300
The English versions (which I use, I don't speak Italian) are the ones with ENG in the name.

Replacing the Staples

The copier will inform you when it's out of Staples. To check the staples, open front cover of the finisher (device on left that catches copies) There should be a pictorial diagram on how to remove/install cartridge on inside surface of cover. Page 7-12 of the Copier Reference Guide if your finisher has 3 trays. Page 7-38 of the Copier Reference Guide if your finisher has 1 tray. Hope this helps.

Inserting staples

If the machine has an in-built finisher, the stapler is located in the rear of device. Pull the finisher release handle and pull the finisher towards you. Extract the staple cartridge by pulling up in the green tab at the rear right of the finisher. The staple cartridge can be opened by squeezing the sides together to allow the spring to act. (Sometimes it can be helped with a screwdriver popping the clear tabs located on the underside). Insert the replacement staple pack and pull the orange tab before closing the cartridge shut. Reinsert into the finisher and push down to locate it. Should work ok after all that.

Have you tried the staple setup procedure, or maybe swap the Finisher DC Controller off the Finisher that the known-good stapler carraige came from? I think DC Controller.
