when the user calls and hears the auto attendant,he/she enters 14 to transfer to extension 14 instead of waiting for the menu prompt, it doesn't get transferred to extension 14 it still goes to extension 10 the receptionist extension.

Mfurrer i pressed 1 and it transferred to ext.10.How can i reset the mail box to the factory specs.

  • wewalke Jun 06, 2009

My bad, you need to program the calls to go to the Auto Attendant.

Where do the calls go now if they ring in and you do not answer?

Please clarify. You want to have callers have a menu option? Do you have a voicemail system? If so, which?

Dial in and test this, dial slow, when you hear the greeting, press the 1 button, wait a few seconds and see if the call is transferred to extension 10. If so, there is a selector code messed up in admin of the voicemail.

You will need the admin password.
    Dial into vociemail
when prompted for the extension number, use 99 then #
Press admin password followed by pound.
    press 9
    press 3 for Auto Attendants
Press 1 for the day menu
Press 6 to modify the menu
Press 1 (to modify selector code 1)
    press 9 to modify
I forget the prompts, but you want to make it a "Direct extension transfer"
press 9 to save it (I think)

    press # (Pound)
    hang up.

    That should do it.

Selector Code 1 and 2 have to be deleted or disabled from Auto Attendant.
Login to your voicemail admin box, go to Auto Attendant menu--- selector code assignments are in there.

When a call comes in and I transfer to my boss' extension, incoming calls do not come through, caller states phone keeps on ringing. Also on that same extension calls do not transfer to voice mail.

  • Begin the transfer. With the caller on the line, press the "Transfer" key. The caller will automatically be placed on hold and you will hear a dial tone.
  • Connect the caller to the other party. Dial the extension of the party you wish to reach. When you hear the extension ring or after you've announced the caller, complete the transfer by pressing "Transfer" a second time. If the person does not wish to receive the call, press "Release" to disconnect from the dialed extension. Press the key beside the flashing arrow on the LCD indicator where the various lines are displayed to return to the caller.
  • Cancel an incomplete transfer. If you make an error when dialing and need to retrieve the caller, simply press the key beside the flashing arrow on the LCD indicator.

  • Park an incoming call. Parking a call at a designated extension allows the recipient to answer the call from any phone in the facility. With the caller on the line, press the "Park" key twice. If your system designates a particular extension for parked calls, the caller will be held at that extension. Otherwise, the caller is held at your extension. To specify an extension for a parked call, press "Park," dial the desired extension and press "Park" a second time. Replace the handset.
  • Retrieve a parked call. On any system phone, press "Park" and dial the extension on which the call is parked. You will be connected to the caller.

How do I identify extensions, transfer calls, conference call, change time.

To identify the extensions: if its a display set, press feature 00 and the screen will show the extension number. press feature 00 to exit programming.
If its a non-display set access the intercom and call a display set.The extension number will be displayed on the screen that is recieving the call.

To transfer a call: while your on the call to be transfered, press the transfer button and then the extension number of the person you wish to transfer the call toand hang up.

For a conference call:while on the line with the first caller, press the conf key (the caller will be placed on hold) place a call to your second party when they answer press the conf key again. all 3 parties will be bridged(you + the 2 lines) to get rid of one of the callers press thier line and feature 6 (conference drop)

Changing the time on a Partner system is done on either ext 10 or 11. At one of those ext's press the feature key and "00"
next press the left hand intercom twice
the display should say system programming
enter in "#103"
the display should say system time and the current programmed time
enter the new time in 24 hour format
press feature "00" to logout

Depending what number your extensions start with, you need to go to the programming for the auto attendant and "undefine" the number in the menu. More than likely, it is built as a "thru-dial" and allows callers to punch in the extension. If you remove this, callers will have no other choice but to use the options in the menu. I can walk you through these changes if you want.

You have a selector code that is disabling transfer operations. Login with administrative account find selector code assignment (under Auto Attendants (3)) find a selector code 1 or 2 and see what it does. Change it to direct extension transfer . In a partner selector code 1 and 2 shouldnot be used.
