Watch pictures I have my computer upstairs in my office and my xbox 360 in downstairs in my front room on my plasma screen of course. in the office is my wireless modem router it is a belkin N1 i had a belkin 125 before and they worked together great. but since i have got my new one i have had one problem. the 360 has found the belkin and the computer no prob so far i can go on xbox live ok. but the main problem i am having is that when i want to see the pictures that are stored on my computer that is the problem. the pics are hoilday partys ect everyday things. some will come through but the rest just come through as an X. On my computer i run on windows XP and have media 11 on there in libary i have set that as share media and it registers my 360. i have tryed turning firewall on or off still dose not work. the router is set as 64 bit wep the same as the last one still no good i have tryed all the other settings 128 bit etc no good . i have tryed in connections and checked that it is set on shareing no good. i have rung xbox 360 help line no good there so if you might have an answer it would be great. i think the answer is stareing me in the face but i just can not see in many thx tony

Connect 1 homeplug next to your modem and connect it to the modem. Then connect the other one to your xbox and you should get your network working to it.

If you do not have a router that you can plug directly into the back of the Xbox 360 then yes you will need to purchase a wireless router to sync up with your wireless router that you already have downstairs. You didn't specify if your broadband router had wireless capabilities? Does it? If not then you will need to buy a wireless router to be able to hook up your Xbox 360.

Microsoft has their own personal wireless router that fits on the back of the Xbox 360 nicely. I would recommend you purchase it due to ease of installation and compatability.

if ur xbox has the wireless adapter it doest need to be plugged in. if you dont have that adapter, you must either buy it and connect wirelessly or purchase a cable long enough to reach the router downstairs

when your in the dashboard on your 360 go to the right all the way to the system slide. click netowrk settings then click the ip address box be sure this is set to automatic, and be suree that the DNS box is on automatic as well. if this doesnt work then your cables may be hooked up wrong or some other issue.
