I downloaded Crash Bandicoot The Wrath Of Cortex from the Xbox market place and it says that I need to attach an Xbox 360 hard drive to play original xbox games. Is there any other way?

You need to download an update for any xbox original off of xbox live in order to play.

Some XBox games have both a 360 and original XBox version, so you can't play them on the 360. Other games simply aren't compatible. Your game may fall into one of those two groups.

It does load. This game has very long load times. Regardless, if it doesnt ever load then give up on it the game isnt eventhat good in the first place.

This is not the case. Microsoft has not converted all games over from the original xbox, to have the ability to play them on the 360.
