Minuteman Pro320 beeping

I have a minuteman Pro 320 and it keeps having three consecutive beeps, I am assuming it either needs the battery replaced or to be reset but it is set up to my companies phone system and I do not want to take out the phones. What should I do? The beeping is making me crazy.

If the UPS has the serial or USB cable attached to a computer of any kind, you can use the UPS management software to disable the alarm until you can replace the battery. You should schedule the battery replacement for after hours just to be safe. If your phone system has redundant power supplies or two power cords, you can plug the system into wall power to replace the battery and then go back to battery power when you're done.

Unit beeps every 15-20 minutes once and the Balance Light comes on

I believe that your batteries may need replaced inside the UPS. Even if the system has not seen much (or any) usage, the batteries are only good for a specified amount of time (usually only 2-4 years) and then they need replaced.

if it is plugged in and the power circuit live then check to see of the 2nd light from the left is lit.

this means the battery needs replaceing.

if that is not it turn the unit off and back on... you may need to hold the button for 5 seconds to turn it off.

doubble check the circuit braker on the back of the unit and the main for the office or house.

Three beeps and red light on the battery image. We do not have a manual, so not sure how to fix.

How old is the battery? It probably has "expired", and won't hold a charge, and needs to be replaced.

The battery light came on and it started beeping. The unit has been operations 3 years. I have uplugged and reset the unit several times at different power outlets and within an hour the light and beeping...

I suspect you have came to the end of the battery's life in your UPS. Unfortunately, it is often about as cheap to buy another unit, instead of a replacement battery....

The best thing to do is to replace it.

It preformed it's job which was to keep your pc's protected during a storm. As a result, three of your ports no longer work.

It can be fixed but you're better off getting a new one. You'll be certain your equipment will be protected.

Indicator Lights

Hello kingfisher1

You can find the owner's manual for the Minuteman Pro 520 UPS HERE.

You can find support for Minuteman UPS' HERE.

Refer to page (4) of the owner's manual for a description of the UPS' front panel controls and indicators.

Looks like if the 4th LED from the right is on, you need to replace your battery.

Left to Right the LED's are:
(1) Online; Boost; or On Battery (depending upon the symbol that is illuminated)
(2) Fault
(3) Overload
(4) Replace Battery

Please, let us know if you have any more questions, observations, comments, etc. on this topic. We are happy to help.

Thank you
BJ @:)
