That means you had too much hair in your beaterbar or that you had the vacuum set too low to the floor. The beaterbar stopped turning and the rubber belt was slipping creating friction and heating to the point of melting. When you vacuum check often that the powerhead (beaterbar) is moving. If the belt ever slips it stretches or melts in half and must be replaced.
If you were referring to the motor then there isn't much you can do but replace the motor.

Good day! I have a fairly new, hardly used Eureka 3282 avz . Te carpet brush will not turn. How do I get that apart to try to see if it is clogged.

Flip it over. there is a plastic cover with either 2 or 3 screws that hold it on. Take these out. There is also a lip at the very front that the cover slips into. Carefully slip it out of it's slots. (Goes back together the same way) See if the belt is gone (broken) it also slips off and on it's mounts 4 easy cleaning. The roller slips out too for cleaning. Its made to do this as a regular cleaning maintenence.

Please help! my cleaner will roll on a flat surface but when I try to roll on the carpet it is jumpy like. I checked the setting and it is in the right place.

It could be that the belt or belts are worn and when you put the brush against the resistance of the carpet the belt slips and causes it to be jumpy. If you haven't changed the belt lately I would try that. You can get the belts for this model here:

Hoover telios Bag holder, fitting

HI The bag holder slips into place by opening the lid and aligning the bottom sections into the slider L shape part just at the mouth of the actual dust bin. Slide the part so that it sits at an angle before the bag slips into it. Once that's done make sure the bag is pushed down otherwise the lid will not close.
