Message inbox increase!!

Unfortunately, you cannot increase this limit, these are the limitations set by the manufacturer for this phone:

500 messages (200 inbox, 200 sent, 50 outbox, 50 draft)

Well the sms capacity for the whole message folder (including the inbox, drafts, my folder, sent folder and mms) is 500 and not just for the inbox. Capacity for just the inbox is 200 that is why after that it show the inbox full sign. I am also a samsung star user and also not satisfied with such a small inbox capacity.

Even though message memory is meant to be 500, it is distributed among inbox,sent items and saved messages. So the entire 500 capacity is not used by inbox

buddy the thing is the phone is using sim memory to store your messages. change it to phone memory or memory card. some phones don have a option to save messages in memory card. in that case keep your phone memory free from any files and use the phone memory for messages and contacts alone. that would help you to store more messages.

The capacity of receiving messages messages is not high so you have to delete previous messages before you can receive new messages.

Ensure your messages are loading also on the SIM card in order for it to be able to receive more message.

For increasing your message capacity go to message setting and change the setting to store your messages in the phone memory.

Even I am facing the same problem. The overall message capacity is 500 SMS... :(

Your Inbox Only support 200 sms... And when I say Inbox it includes your My folder as well... So you see 197+ 26 beyond your range... Delete Data from my Folder.... Problem solved.
